To use Mobile Check-In Express, scan the QR code located at your local Social Security office.

This will allow you to check in for:

  • Scheduled and non-scheduled appointments.
  • Services—including requesting a replacement Social Security card, a benefit verification letter, proof of income, and more.

For Mobile Check-In Express to work, you must be at the Social Security office and have location services on. You should also make sure you’re using the latest version of your internet browser. There is no QR code at the office in Georgetown, TX.
There is a code for you to request a replacement card but nothing for Mobile check in.
          Very disappointing.

I want to know how do i appy emergency disbility funds

    • Sue

Hi, Kristin. Thanks for reading our blog and for your question. Social Security pays disability benefits to adults who are unable to work because of a physical or mental condition that is expected to last at least 12 months or end in death. Our Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program makes payments to adults and children with disabilities who have limited income and resources. We can make “expedited” SSI payments in limited situations. For more information, check out Understanding SSI. To apply for disability, please visit here. You may also be eligible to receive social services from the state in which you live. These include emergency assistance, Medicaid, free meals, housekeeping, transportation, or other services. We hope this helps.

    Follow-up on a call didn’t get

  10. Amy M.

I stood in line for 2 hours because the online system said I had to come in. Then 10 mins before the office opened, security brought out QR codes and all of a sudden, people that just got there were before me. This is ridiculous, I don’t know how to do that! I can barely check my email. Ifeel like I’m being discriminated against because I can’t work technology!

    • Stacy W.

Hello Amy. We are sorry to hear this. You can submit feedback by visiting our Contact Social Security webpage. Once there, select the “Email Us” link. This will take you to the “Email A Question to our Support Team” form, where you can complete and submit a compliment, complaint, or suggestion. We hope this helps.
