      Thanks for your question, Jenny. We do not base your Social Security benefit amount on the severity of your disability. We base it on your average lifetime earnings before your disability began, (or those of certain family members) when those earnings are insured under Social Security. We hope this helps.

    I would appreciate it if someone from Social Security Disability would contact me directly via email or phone in reference to requesting that my son Corey Clay Jr. benefits be switched to me due to the fact that myself and my husband will be going through a separation/divorce and Corey Jr. will be with me 3/4th’s of the time and live with me. I also wanted to switch my direct deposit from Well Fargo checking to Chime checking. I previously submitted the request online but it didn’t switch this past month.

    I am currently receiving SSI retirement benefits, and working part-time. Someone told me I could request my employer stop taking SSI deduction from my pay check. Is this true?

        The closest office was San Angelo, Tx, only 100 miles away, and it is shut down. No recording on phone, no suggestions on the computer as to alternatives. Who was he supposed to notify? Do you have any agents available for us west Texas folks that need some help

    how do I apply for final death payment for my wife;s death

      Hi, Edward. We are sorry to hear about your loss. The Lump-Sum Death benefit of $255 (a one-time payment) may be payable upon the death of a person who has worked long enough to be insured under Social Security. Only eligible family members may be able to receive the one-time payment and monthly survivor benefits.
