Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on the blessings we have in our lives. At Social Security, we are most thankful because we’re able to provide you with services, benefits, tools, and information to help you throughout life’s journey.

As more than just a retirement program, Social Security is truly a cornerstone for America. We proudly serve you online, by phone, and in person in our network of field offices. We are there for joyous moments like the birth of children and issuing their first Social Security card. We are there during times of hardship and tragedy, providing disability, spouse, and survivors benefits to the families of deceased workers.  And we’re there to help you celebrate your retirement, too.

Happy Thanksgiving, from our family to yours.

I am thankful for being at the mercy of hospitals and doctors. As a patient, I have no advocate(s). The hospitals and doctors have no restrictions or accountability except for being bound to the contracts they have with the insurance companies.

We, the patients, are being taken advantage of and many of us are unable to defend ourselves because of lack of money or time as a deadline to complain.

When it comes to healthcare, it looks like it’s all about the money and those of us who are on social security are the ones being hurt.

I will need more than my present SS salary to live in the outside world. The place that I am in takes all my money and I need to have it to make my move to the outside world. Please give me the money from my check. I will be leaving here next week. I will give you my new address when I get it. Thank you so much.
