Update on Economic Impact Payments for Social Security and SSI Beneficiaries

Beginning today, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) will issue Economic Impact Payments (EIP) to approximately 1.4 million SSI recipients with representative payees and 10.4 million Social Security beneficiaries with representative payees.

The IRS will issue the EIPs via direct deposit and Direct Express starting today, May 22, to the same direct deposit account or Direct Express card as the recipient’s monthly Social Security or SSI payment. Paper check EIPs will be mailed starting May 27.

    So what about the people who are on SSI that don’t have a payee because I checked the Get My Payment on the IRS website and it said May 13 for the EIP I don’t have a bank account and it’s not on my direct express card either

    When will I receive my SS impact check for $1200 ? I have direct deposit with Bangkok Bank and have not filed income taxes in several years as I live off my SS only.

    When will I receive my $1200 ? Most of my friends already have. I use a foreign bank, Bank of Bangkok for my SS and have not filed income tax for several years because no income.

    I’ve moved since 1st stimulus check was issued. If a second stimulus is approved- will it be mailed to my new address? I have changed my address with the post office.Should I contact IRS also? Tried filling out ‘change of address form for IRS , But it would not accept it.

    I very much appreciate thank you for updating me about this . I have noticed , viewed other remarks on line that the IRS , Trump Administration has been less than honest , correct amid the pandemic. Im aware this is a lot for 1 agency let 2 alone two.
