Update on Economic Impact Payments for Social Security and SSI Beneficiaries

Beginning today, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) will issue Economic Impact Payments (EIP) to approximately 1.4 million SSI recipients with representative payees and 10.4 million Social Security beneficiaries with representative payees.

The IRS will issue the EIPs via direct deposit and Direct Express starting today, May 22, to the same direct deposit account or Direct Express card as the recipient’s monthly Social Security or SSI payment. Paper check EIPs will be mailed starting May 27.

    Will this be for people who filled out the non filers tool with dependants before the deadline who has not received dependant pay? I have not received my ains portion, he is 12.

      Check the get my payment on the IRS website daily. It updates every night. When your payment is scheduled, it will tell you the information. Yes, waiting is the hard part. Hope this helps!

    Only get Social Security & don’t file but filled out non filer when no check last week because last tax return was from a different address
    & Get my payment said no information for weeks
    This is a mess – I’ve been getting SS direct deposit for 4 years
    No check No info available No one to call!!!!
