All I want to do is change my address. How do I do this?
A.C.
Hi, Kathleen. Thanks for your question. If you are receiving Social Security retirement or disability, you can create a personal my Social Security account to change your address online. If you are receiving Supplemental Security Income, you should contact your local office immediately. We hope this helps.

I want to add deductions for Federal and State Taxes on my benefit amount. How do I do it?

I want to change the deductions on my Social Security account so there are deductions made for Federal and State taxes for 2020. How do I do this?
A.C.
Hi, Alan. In order to have taxes withheld from your Social Security benefit, you must start by printing, completing and submitting an IRS Voluntary Withholding Request Form (Form W-4V). On this form, you can choose to have 7, 10, 12, or 22 percent of your monthly benefit withheld. The Form W-4V (to withhold federal taxes from your Social Security benefits) can be returned to your local Social Security office by mail or in person. See our Benefits Planner: Withholding Income Tax From Your Social Security Benefits web page for more information. We hope this helps.

I have received a one-time reset code in the mail because I couldn’t remember my password and need to create a new one. I requested this 9/28/2019, so the reset code page is no longer displayed. How do I enter the reset code so I can recreate my password? The letter gives me until 11/10/2019 before the reset code becomes invalid.

I received a reset code, but when I tried to put it in the password field, I got locked out. Is there a different place that I’m supposed to enter it?
