   I live in New Mexico, local office link brings up 1-800-772-1213. How is that a local office number for Albuquerque, nm. Trying to find out which address experian is using , not to mention getting them to change it is frustrating. How can i make an appointment for my local office, or is it , first come first served ? And does the ssa have a complaint link?

   I didn’t spell out my middle name on my Social Security application, how can I collect please?

     Hi, Katherine. You can show whichever name you would like on your social security card, as long as you have evidence of your legal name change by showing us documentation of your old and new names.

     In order to change your name on your Social Security card, you must show us a document that proves your legal name change. If the document you provide as evidence of a legal name change does not give us enough information to identify you in our records, you must show us an identity document in your old name (as shown in our records). It is the identity document (also known as your ID) that we will accept if it has expired, however, we still will need to see proof (legal document) of the name change. In addition, if you aren’t a U. S. citizen, you’ll need to provide proof of your immigration status.

     We offer the option to mail or bring your completed application with original or certified documents to your local Social Security office. Use this link to determine which documents you may need. Thanks!

   I tried to create an account online but the system say’s there is a problem. So what should I do come into your office to setup an online account? I turn 66 on 4/29 of this year. I plan to continue work but I also want to start collecting my full benefits.

     •Call us at 1-800-772-1213 (TTY 1-800-325-0778), Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. At the voice prompt, say “helpdesk”; or
     •Contact your local Social Security office. We hope this helps.

   to call our children’s bank account ours, that is the ssi claimant, money when their the ones that worked for the money in their accounts is wrong. You detailed the SEIE, then to call the money ours because it is in a bank, Is there a silver spoon in the mouth of the person that neglected to detail how to keep the kids money out of the equation. I have been slapped around going on 4 months, because the CR did not know the how to to keep our kids out of the equation, so their bank accounts are not co signed by me the eligible ssi recipient, but signed by my wife. I do not have access to the accounts , nor was I told I could rebut the ssa decision, in fact I was told there was no rebuttable.

   I tried to create an account. It told me there was already an account with the same information. If there is one, I don’t know what the user name is or the password. I need to change my banking information for direct deposit. Please advise what I need to do.
