  4. Usha R.

I have a SSN, and have been receiving mail from SSN but I am unable to create an account online

  5. Terry L.

My son is 13 and receiving SS Benefits and I am the designated representative for him. Can I create a My Social Security account for him?

    Thank you

    • A.C.

Thanks for your question, Terry. Unfortunately, you can only create a my Social Security account using your own personal information and for your own exclusive use. You cannot create or use an account on behalf of another person, even if you have that person’s written permission. You are not able to see your son’s information on your own account. Once your son is at least 18 years of age, he can create his own account. Hope this helps!
