All local Social Security offices will be closed to the public for in-person service starting Tuesday, March 17, 2020. This decision protects the population we serve—older Americans and people with underlying medical conditions—and our employees during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. However, we are still able to provide critical services.

Please read our press release to learn more, including how to get help from the Social Security Administration by phone and online. You can also visit our website to learn more and stay up to date.

Hi Patricia, thank you for using our blog. Check out our Frequently Asked Questions web page on how to change your name. If you do not want to mail in your documents, which will be returned, you may need to wait for the offices to reopen. Use our Social Security Office Locator to find your local office address. We hope this helps.

Can anyone help me. I started recieving SSI in April of 2020. I filed a return for 2019 as I were told. Still nothing on my $1,200 payment. I can’t even set up ny SSA account and I have no freeze on my credit. My direct deposit information is in place because that’s how I receive my SSI. I’m in a state of lost and worry now. SSI is my only income. I’ve done everything that I was told to do and yet nothing. Can someone please send me any information about my stimulus money, my SSA account or anything. PLEASE!!!!!
