Coronavirus (COVID-19): Important Information about Social Security Services

All local Social Security offices will be closed to the public for in-person service starting Tuesday, March 17, 2020. This decision protects the population we serve—older Americans and people with underlying medical conditions—and our employees during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. However, we are still able to provide critical services.

FYI just read we all will have to file tax return in order to receive stimulus. So freakin stupid why they just can’t use Social Security data to send is beyond me. Way to complicate things. The Democrats are trying to pass a law to make everyone wear masks, This is only half of the solution….The ugly half (demoncrats) should be required to hide their shame….but since Republicans are all good looking this is a moot point. …NOW! here is the solution to the Plosie problem, she got 25 million of our taxes for the Kennedy Center which now will no longer pay their musicians and no one can attend events there because of social isolations…SO! President Trump should use his War Powers to aquire the Kennedy Center and make it a hospital or homeless shelter, let’s see what the Dems whine about now.

I just read this and was about to post. It’s confusing due to income restrictions being on SSDI. When toy file for the 2019 year, you’re told not to file because you don’t meet the income requirement for filing.

IF YOU ARE BEING CLAIMED AS A DEPENDENT YOU WILL NOT BE GETTING THE $1200 CHECK WHOEVER IS CLAIMING SOMEONE IS GETTING $500 EXTRA PER CHILD BUT IT SPECIFICALLY SAID CHILD SO THATS THE ONY EXTRA MONEY YOU CAN HOPE FOR IF YOU ARE ON SSI AND BEING CLAIMED AS AN ADULT. The only thing thats going to save me or us is trying to have good common sense to stay safe during this tried full time, as for that check im saving it, banking it, i will continue to live poor as always at my old age , im housebound for the last 4 yrs. now, except for food and meds and when i can get to doctors not during this virus going on, try and get used to the way we live ( poor) if you can work keep working if you cant get used to it , its life ,,, be very safe and help out one another united we stand ,,, apart we fall,
