Earlier this week, The White House issued national guidance regarding Opening Up America Again. We are evaluating this information as it relates to our agency and are continuing to closely monitor the COVID-19 situation across the nation. In fulfilling Social Security’s mission, when we reopen offices to the public, we will provide a safe environment for both the people we serve and our employees.

As we continue to develop our plans, our offices will remain closed to the public for face-to-face service, and our employees will continue to work remotely and provide services to the public. We will provide updates moving forward and post updated information on the status of our offices, by state, at our website. Our agency will provide these updates directly, and please disregard other sources of information regarding the status of our offices.

We will continue to provide the vital service the public relies on. Please visit our website for more information about our services during the pandemic.

I am so sick and tired of the government changing ssi receipts stimulus paydate everytime I look daily there seems to be a different date first end of April now first of May then jumping to the middle of. May. Poorest people always pushed back don’t make any sense ssi receipts need their money just like everybody else it’s a dam shame.

I don’t think the IRS made that update saying mid May I read that on another site but it’s not the it’s site this site right here is the real deal and when they speak on changing shit the have to update us on this site so I’m not listening to them other sites because I think they scams anyway but I’m still banking on the first of the month when my SSI payment comes I think it will be with it and if ppl do have to wait until mid May I think it’s them ppl on SSI and so on have to wait because they got kids and they trying to get that extra 500 but I don’t care about that I have no dependent and I’m on SSI so I’m banking on the first of the month with out monthly check

I iust do not under stand the IRS . They said stimulus checks would be direct deposit as usual, if you have direct deposit. Well, I do have. Just no stimulus check. All the people I know with much higher income, got theirs ASAP!!! WHY??? Us vets have been left out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The field offices have had weeks to plan for the reopening so please DO IT. People can wait in their cars; a cheap megaphone can announce your number to enter; require masks. OPEN!

Is there any way to email someone regarding questions? Calling has been a nightmare, with 2 hour wait times, getting different answers from different people l, and getting hung up on *disconnected hopefully* I feel like electronic communication would make things easier. I have used th ed online appeal and havd received feedback and a phone appointment, so I was happy with that.
Also, are you guys still sending out the usual notices, such as explanation of benefit deductions, lawyers fee deduction notification, backpay explanations, etc.? I have not been getting any of these as in the past.
    Thanks

I tested positive and I’m disabled and out of money and don’t know what to do
