The IRS will issue the EIPs via direct deposit and Direct Express starting today, May 22, to the same direct deposit account or Direct Express card as the recipient’s monthly Social Security or SSI payment. Paper check EIPs will be mailed starting May 27.

I wish someone would care about people like me. I’m on ssi/ssdi I didn’t get a stimulus check due to my mother claiming me as a dependent so that canceled me out completely, I can’t file for unemployment cause I’ve never work born with a disability I can’t work my Bill’s are stacking up and money that I do get from ssi don’t really pay bills like they should it hurts that I see people who don’t need that money get it plus some and I’m like why did y’all forget about me?

    • Anon

You are considered a dependent. You can’t file for unemployment if you have never been employed, you have to have lost your job. You missed out because the lawmakers didn’t include people in your situation. Simple as that.

I receive SSI. Will I receive $1,200? My wife and I I’ve also, several weeks ago, received $2,400 for the household stimulus relief check.

    • Peter

Are you that dumb ? You got it you n your wife total of 2,400. ( 1200 for wifey and 1200 for hubby = 2400. And now you want more $$ go to tax forms for kids and next yr $$

If I applied for seniors citizen housing and am # 1 and don’t get the next open apartment what can I do. I get 700,0p Ssi and it is hard to find off jobs I am physically able to do to get by. The low income housing would make life so easy on me. I am 74 now.judy Cabrera
