Beginning today, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) will issue Economic Impact Payments (EIP) to approximately 1.4 million SSI recipients with representative payees and 10.4 million Social Security beneficiaries with representative payees.

The IRS will issue the EIPs via direct deposit and Direct Express starting today, May 22, to the same direct deposit account or Direct Express card as the recipient’s monthly Social Security or SSI payment. Paper check EIPs will be mailed starting May 27.

Visit our website to learn about EIPs and representative payees. You can find the eligibility requirements and other information about the EIPs at the IRS’ Economic Impact Payment Information Center.

I receive SS Retirement and have yet to receive my stimulus payment from IRS. I don’t owe child support but I do owe back taxes but the IRS said it will no take your stimulus payment for back taxes. I want to know why I have not received my RIP yet. Everyone who gets the same as me from SSA has received their EIP from the IRS but I have not.

Check the get my payment daily. The information will show when they schedule your payment. The only thing they are taking the check for is child support, the IRS said they will not take the payment from those who owe back taxes.

    Hello:
I retired overseas and receive my retirement benefit on the 3rd of each month. I have not found any information on the IRS website that directly addresses when and how retirees living overseas can expect to receive the EIP nor have I as of today receive my payment.
I have my SSA-1099 for 2019 which was correctly addressed to my current residence.
I have no dependents nor do I owe child support to anyone. I assume I’m not alone in this situation.
Can you provide any useful information?

What I found is that if you have a state side bank account your payment will be direct deposited, and if not your check will be mailed to the address on your SSA1099. They are scheduling payments through September.

Its legit. Plain white envelope correct? Go for it!

Hi Harish, thanks for using our blog. The Department of the Treasury announced that it is starting to send nearly 4 million economic impact payments by prepaid debit card, instead of by paper check. EIP Card recipients can make purchases, get cash from in-network ATMs, and transfer funds to their personal bank account without incurring any fees. Additional information is available in Treasury’s press release. EIP Card recipients can read more about their debit card at http://www.eipcard.com. Please note that the EIP Card is not the same as the Direct Express Debit Card on which many Social Security and SSI beneficiaries receive their monthly benefit payment.

Is this supposed to be my stimulus payment or is this something else?! How do I go about getting information on the stimulus payment as well as the $135.00 credit that was direct deposit to my account? Please help.

What i seen in life ? Work all week paycheck $ 000.00 ? Like that’s the way it is , back pay support ! you can’t get out from IT. Pay it till its over,. Then you can really live after, if you don’t ? Pay will be zero , and homelessness , no savings, or checking, no licence, you can RUN , and live under the gun but in the end you got nothing , and this is what i seen all around my life , i never have and im safe thank god for me !
