Update on Economic Impact Payments for Social Security and SSI Beneficiaries

Beginning today, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) will issue Economic Impact Payments (EIP) to approximately 1.4 million SSI recipients with representative payees and 10.4 million Social Security beneficiaries with representative payees.
The IRS will issue the EIPs via direct deposit and Direct Express starting today, May 22, to the same direct deposit account or Direct Express card as the recipient’s monthly Social Security or SSI payment. Paper check EIPs will be mailed starting May 27.

Did you claim him as a dependent ? Check nonstop twice a day on ( get my payment ) from irs web page,

OooRaa finally recived the stimulus today may 28th by direct express debit card , i’ve know about it since last wk from irs get my payment , thank you jess , for the valuable infor, and as i said i do is save this stimulus money , it was never of in need , i live my normal month to month , and always still have $$$ extra each month, if you never got it then you should never miss it , and i wouldn’t count on ANOTHER stimulus anytime too soon. Dens & Republican are at it AGAIN in disagreement, both sides are idiot’s , both sides should put there nonsense bicking a side, and do it for the American PEOPLE , trump blames the dem this the dem that, its the Democrat fault, Democrats blame its the Republican fault i say screw them , its for us the American PEOPLE, did you both forget us ? Hello, my name is Jeff and I receive SSDI, I’ve been disabled for a long time. My wife though not leagle lives with me. After rent and bills,there is nothing left. We have been struggling as my my wife was laid off. We haven’t received my my EIP as of today. This is unacceptable Im consumed with finding out why? I can’t sleep or eat my wife wants answers. I can’t afford to get to my medical appointments. Why are the disabled being treated this way.??

It says people whom have spouses that are not legal citizens are ineligible for stimulus payment.

I haven’t gotten my stimulus payment yet I don’t know what to do I called yesterday they that nothing isn’t showing up and also the get my payment tool is always saying is “Payment Status Not Available”to me I’m left in the dark…

Payment status unavailable will come up until your payment date is scheduled by the Treasury. Keep trying daily.

I have officially given up.tired of this date ..that date ..n when the day comes” NOTHING”!!!! The get my payment does zero for ME!!! The last days I’ve been trying to get answers a dead end!!! I’m done trying!!! This makes no sense!! FRFR!!!?

The last word i received is that it would be paid today. But no luck. I really would like some answers. The SS pages says by the end of April for my catagory. How do I call the IRS from Mexico? I have lost all hope in my country.

George, what I have read for those living abroad, it will be sent to your address that is on your SSA 1099, if you do not have a state side bank account.

Ok thanks. I heard that too, but sending to Mexico via mail is crazy. The treasury direct deposits every month to my account here in Santander Bank.

I wrote on the 25th of this month, but I don’t see my comments anywhere. I am a US citizen living in Mexico on Social Security. I am 67 years old and have tried everything I can think of and have heard to get information on my stimulus check. SS here can NOT TELL ME ANYTHING. The get my payment doesn’t work for me, because I am not in the US. SS says I will get the payment the same as I receive my monthly deposit. The treasury will deposit it with Banco de Mexico and they will change to pesos and deposit in my local bank account. Can anyone tell me when this will happen? I have heard a lot of dates that have come and gone. Please help!!!

Hi George, thank you for using our blog. The Internal Revenue Service, which is part of the Department of Treasury, will be making Economic Income Payments to eligible people. Therefore, we do not have a schedule of these payments. You may find the IRS Get My Payment Frequently Asked Questions web page helpful.

I am sorry I have looked at that page everyday for a month. I have tried to use the “get my payment” everyday also, but no answers. I tried to fill out the non filers form too, but would not except it. It says I am missing information when I put a bank account from Mexico. I tried for 3 days to do that form and it never would except my information. It said I was missing information and would refer back to the same informatio. I thought it would be simple I only made $11,604 dollars last year. Social Security send me and the IRS every year my 1099. If I am not qualified I want to know why. So I can be sure to contact my local Senator and give her a peice of my mind. Because I am an American and served my country for 9 years in the military during the Viet nam war. I will not say more. All I want to know is when because according to all the information on the IRS website I am qualified. I understand there is only less than 10 million people to pay yet.
Anyway thank you for your time and I hope someday you never have to live through this embarrassment.
