The IRS will issue the EIPs via direct deposit and Direct Express starting today, May 22, to the same direct deposit account or Direct Express card as the recipient’s monthly Social Security or SSI payment. Paper check EIPs will be mailed starting May 27.

That depends. You are on SSI, what is your husband on, anything? Does he have an income of file taxes of any kind? If he doesn’t, then he needs to fill out the non filer form on the IRS website,s they can count him and send out a payment. For people who were unclear on this, the non filer tool is available through October 15. I hope this helps you.

If I just started receiving SSDI in January will I get a stimulus impact payment just asking for a friend

    • Anon

Must submit information on non filers form if didn’t file taxes for 2018 or 2019. SSA 1099 forms are what the IRS are using to determine payment and they wouldn’t have one on file for benefits that started in 2020.

Has the bill passed regarding a $200 increase for social security ?

    • Anon

From what I understand, that was an option they were playing with before they passed the first stimulus in March, and decided on the $1,200 payment instead.
They still haven’t decided on whether or not they will approve a second round of stimulus payment either.
