I cannot find form SSA-7162 (or any other form, for that matter). Can you tell me where to find it, or better yet, email the file to me at lesbrwn@hotmail.com
V.V.
Hello Leslie. Beneficiaries living abroad receive the SSA-7162 annually or biannually depending upon the countries in which they reside. Unfortunately, the SSA-7162 is not currently available online and cannot be emailed to you.
We recommend that individuals living outside the United States contact the nearest Federal Benefit Unit or U.S. embassy in the area for any assistance related to Social Security programs and benefits. Also, our Office of International Operations home page provides more information to assist our customers living abroad.

Hi, Jose. We are sorry to hear about your experience. For your security, we do not have access to personal information in this venue. We do ask that members in our Blog community continue to work with our offices with questions about their specific case. For assistance outside of the U.S., please contact your local Federal Benefits Unit. You may also find our Office of Earnings & International Operations web page helpful with additional information for service around the world. We hope this helps.

I am 64 years old. I try to apply for my Social Security Benefits (SSB) every year since I was 62. Every time I applied they coerce me into NOT getting my SSB. They do this by telling me that I can either have my SSB or Medicaid for my son but not both. They tell me is my choice. I either request for my SSB and my son’s Medicaid is suspended or my son gets Medicaid and I get no SSB. My son is terminally ill with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy; without Medicaid he will die. In my eyes this subjects have nothing to do with each other. I have over 40 points accumulated, meaning I have worked all of my life. I am retired military with several wars under my belt. Now that I retired I do not like them giving me a coerce choice and telling me I have to choose; either my SSB or my son’s life. Apples and Oranges – not the same. Why?
