I submitted two letters in June for a change of bank deposit for my social security check: SS # *** – ** – *** for Theodore D. Guarino and also my wife Carol A. Guairno SS # *** – ** – ***. The checking account at American Eagle Credit Union has been closed since June and a change was submitted in June for the change to be made to our checking account at Gateway Metro Credit Union. I am trying find out if this month payment will be entered into the Gateway Metro CU account.

Please let us know how to sign and submit my online social security benefits application. After reviewing the application only options are to go back or save. How do I continue?I reside in India and am unable to visit any office. Tried calling and hung up after 35 minutes!

Hi Dr. Meena. At this time you must have a U. S. mailing address to create or access your online account. Our system does not support registration and account creation for users with a foreign address yet. If you are living outside the United States, you can contact your nearest Federal Benefits Unit (FBU) for assistance with Social Security questions. For information on Social Security benefit payments outside of the U.S., please see our publication titled “Your Payment While You Are Outside the United States.” We hope this information helps.

how do I give the SS office the information that my sister passed away

    • L.A.

Hi Janice. We’re sorry to hear about your loss. Typically, the funeral director notifies us of an individual’s passing by sending the deceased person’s death certificate to the local Social Security office. However, you may also report a death yourself by submitting the death certificate to your local Social Security office in person.
There may be some benefits to which your sister’s survivors (spouse or children under 18) may be eligible. For more information, please read our publication titled “How Social Security Can Help You When a Family Member Dies.”

i want to pay my ssa overpayment by my credit card on-line since your phone number (800.227.8835) says all representatives are busy..call back later…goodby.

This is not helpful since i cannot find a debt repayment link online.

Basically do you want your money back today in full?

  6. Glenna B.

I need to send in work check stubs before the 6th of each month by email, how do I do that?

    • L.A.

Hi Glenna. You can report wages by visiting, calling, or writing your local Social Security Office. You should ask about our options to use the automated toll-free SSI Telephone Wage Reporting Service, the free SSI Mobile Wage Reporting Smartphone app, or the my Social Security online wage reporting tool. We hope this helps.

mymomdied,!!!! trying to notify you. no way to talk to a person, dealing with death is soo hard, going thru your computer voice is putting a love one thru H E L L ! to even know that it will be another 1 hour + to talk to someone and be transferred again, really. I’m only trying to inform Social Security. where the old folks home doesnt get any more money. HAVE a death tab then have the different departments that can filter to right persons, not computers
