    can my wife collect on my social security when she turns 62?

      Hi, George. Thank you for your question. For your wife to qualify for spouse’s benefits, you must be receiving retirement or disability benefits. Also, if she qualifies for Social Security benefits on her own record, we pay that amount first. But if she also qualifies for a higher amount as a spouse later on, she’ll get a combination of benefits that equals that higher amount. It isn’t necessary to notify us of an email change; however, since you are receiving Social Security benefits, you might find it helpful to sign up for a personal my Social Security account. With a my Social Security account, you can get your benefit verification letter; check your benefit and payment information and your earnings record; change your address and phone number; and start or change direct deposit of your benefit payment.     Where is my check. It’s late. I should’ve had it 3 days ago. I depend on that money. Wen site says u are open on sat. Phone says u are not. So what I supposed to do? Where’s my money??

      Hi, Rebecca. If you did not receive your electronic payment on the scheduled pay date, please contact your bank or financial institution first. They may be experiencing a delay in posting your payment. If you still need to report a late, missing, or stolen Social Security payment, please visit our Frequently Asked Questions. You do not have to make an appointment to come in to our offices, but with an appointment, you will be helped before our walk-in customers. You can schedule an appointment with your local office by calling us at 1-800-772-1213 between 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and a representative will assist you.     I’m became disabled at a early age. Me & my ex-husband were married for 20+ years. We haven’t been married 4 years when I got hurt! We now have been divorced 1 year! I cannot work! I had a choice when he left pay off the lien on my home or the credit cards! I chose to pay off the lien. This makes twice I’ve paid off my house. I still have bad credit because I wasn’t able to pay off my credit cards! I don’t no what I would do if something breaks! My house need some disability features and updates! I own my home but I don’t have good credit or a steady income so I’m looking for some kind of ways to good credit! Help?

    I need to contact “Problems and Resolutions Department”. I have been trying to get my Social Security Benefits Corrected since December 2018. I currently am 68 years old and work full time for the US Department of Defense. In December I filled out a questionnaire I received and informed the Department that at this time I need to continue working because of my wife’s illness and the number of dependents I have sharing my home. The Jacksonville office intern lost (Misfiled) The form and began reducing my monthly payments by 50%. In January 2019 I reported to the Jacksonville FL office and they located the form I mail In and initiated steps to correct the underpayment. In February when corrections had not been made we talked to an individual you after reviewing my file realized the error and arranged for an emergency payment to alleviate the underpayment condition. We received one direct deposit correction but my monthly payments continue to be reduce.
    All of our conversation with people from the Social Security Department have failed to reap any favorable results. My homes Air Conditioning system failed Last year and I budgeted it’s replacement on the Monies I was receiving from Social Security. The Partial payment does not come close to covering this bill and the fact that this problem has not been corrected, had caused a great hardship for my family. I would appreciate help to correct this problem as soon as possible,
