Good afternoon , I was informed to keep reciepts for everything I spend my money on , but this is becoming a burden . Was I informed correctly ? Your timely response would be appreciated . Have a great weekend .

Hi Juanita. If you are the representative payee for someone that is receiving Social Security or SSI, then we would ask you to complete an annual accounting. Completing the accounting report is easier if you have receipts.

I did not receive my new Medicare card.

    • V.V.

Hi Anna. Medicare will automatically mail your new card to the address you have on file with Social Security. As long as your address is up to date, there’s nothing you need to do. If you need to update your address, you can use your personal my Social Security account.

Mailing millions of Medicare cards takes some time, so you might get your card at a different time than friends or neighbors in your area.

Visit Medicare.gov/NewCard and sign up to get email alerts from Medicare. Medicare will send you an email when cards start mailing in your state. Thanks!

  9. Lori B.

Hello. I am trying desperately to contact a Social Security representative to setup payments. I owe the SSA and would like to make good on my debt. I just started a position but am in training M-F, 8 am-5 pm, EST. This makes it impossible for me to telephone the SSA during normal business hours of operation. I will be paid September 7 and can start making monthly payments of $50 at that time. I will check my email in hopes you have messaged back with approval, lbrady0908@sbcglobal.net. If you need to speak to me, please feel free to call my cell, 330-605-5421. I notified my supervisor that if the SSA would call I would have to step out of the training room to take the call. The only time this would not be possible is if the call came during the middle of an assessment. In that event, please leave a detailed messaged and I will return your call as soon as I can. Thank you for your immediate attention.
I apologize in advance for not leaving my social security number but I do not feel secure about sending my email online. Thank you.

    • R.F.

Thank you for contacting us, Lori. Unfortunately, and because of security reasons we do not have access to personal records in this blog and cannot assist you.
We do not do direct messaging in this venue.
To request “partial withholding of your benefits” to repay the overpayment, you will have to contact your local office as soon as possible or call our toll-free number at 1-800-772-1213. Representatives are available Monday through Friday, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Generally, you will have a shorter wait time if you call later during the day or later in the week.
Just a reminder – Please be cautious about posting personal information on social media and communicating personal information via email.
