Hi Paul, thank you for using our blog. If your Direct Express® Card is lost or stolen, immediately call the Direct Express® card toll free Customer Service Department number at 1-888-741-1115. I lost my SS card because I never really needed it before. But now I need it to complete my Pandemic Unemployment Assistance, but none of the offices is open to the public. I tried to create a login acct on the website but it keeps locking me out after 3 tries. I entered everything correctly and it still says it can’t be verified. What else can I do?

    • V.V.

Hi David, thank you for using our blog. Check out our Frequently Asked Questions web page on how to apply for a replacement Social Security card. If you are unable to apply online, and you do not want to mail in your documents, which will be returned, you may need to wait for the offices to reopen. Use our Social Security Office Locator to find your local office address. We hope this helps.

How do I change my date of birth on my social security card? Due to the confusion of my birthday of lunar calendar, my birthday is different on my naturalization card and social security card. I want to correct it according to my naturalization card. Thank you.

    • V.V.

Hi Sung Ja Lee, thanks for using our blog. To correct your date of birth on your Social Security record, you will need to apply for a replacement Social Security card by providing your local office with required documentation. All documents must be either originals or certified copies. You will need to provide evidence of your age (for example, a U.S. public birth certificate) and current documentation for evidence of identity. If you do not want to mail in your documents, which will be returned, you may need to wait for the offices to reopen. Use our Social Security Office Locator to find your local office address. See Learn What Documents You Need for a list of acceptable identity documents.

Hello Vonda Van Tll, I appreciate you taking AND ANSWERING SS questions here. I have set up mysocialsecurity.org for myself. However, in correctly answering the questions . the computer would inform me my answer was not correct. I would then delete and try again until the computer accepted my answer. There is nothing unique about my form answers; I have simple info and only need to replace my misplaced card. Who can unlock my account? Shall I call the main customer service? I was also advised to use my Passport number as my form of I.D. since my drivers license has expired during this Covid closure. The computer form would only accept my DL number. Jill

I have laminated my card, didn’t know I wasn’t suppose to. I need to get an Enhanced License. Do I need an Original or a Replacement card for that?
Since offices are not open, can I just do this through the mail?

    Thank you

How do I get a replacement social security card for my 16-year-old son? He’s not old enough to do this on his own (to open a my social security account, one has to be 18). I could not find any information on doing this for your minor child. To further complicate matters, we live in a different state than that in which his SS card was issued. Please help. Thanks.

I am unable to obtain a card on-line. Please forward a form or tell me how to request a duplicate

    • V.V.
