      In order to protect your privacy, SSA cannot keep data there is no business reason to retain. Therefore, SSA uses Equifax to verify additional information about you. If you don’t want intrusive government then SSA must rely on a trusted partner to verify your identity. That said, only about 50% of online registration attempts work as a result.

I live in Vietnam and contacted SS Manila but they never reply. Is it possible to un-freeze my account and please tell me how I do this. Thank you

    I have attempted to set up an account twice. Each time I have been unable to do so because I continue to get the message that my username is already in use. Does not make any difference how unique a username that I try to use, I continue to get the message that it is already in use, and that cannot be the case!
