I’m 61 and have been on ssdi since 2012. This past April they stopped my benefits and claimed I was overpaid due to too many resources. They counted things I have not owned in years andthings that belong to others against me. I filed an appeal and was told send in documentation and my checks would resume. It’s now 5 months later still no checks and I have borrowed from everyone I know just to live. How can they get away with this? Are they just waiting for me to die or what?

I live on a ssa fixed income. I have payments set up for the day my check is due. When my check is late I overdraw. I have to pay fees to get a payment through. It really makes me mad when it’s late. My check was due the 24th and I’m still waiting. I have a payment that I make on the 25th so I’m overdrawn. This life is stressful enough without having to wonder when I’ll get my check. Appreciate any help I can get with this problem.
