What is this about. Some people would fake it to gain a claim? I am sorry yo hear that. But I have a family member who can not work and is struggling with a lot they are bi polar and we struggle with him, it’s lije walking on egg shells. But these other people can not work, they sometimes feel so bad they hide in their room. We the family pay the price. But of ourselves i see people with handicap placards that no more are handicapped and they park there and along we come no space. We have to figure how to get our mobility scooter and struggle. Then I see these people park in another place and they walk the whole store nice going dude or dudettes I can not without that scooter. In Georgia they have handicapped people who check. That placard better match name on drivers license to whatever it was issued to Johnny smart guy. Then someone will clearly not be able to get out of it.thats sad people will do that either.

When trump privatizes social security and his cronies have raped the system no one will need to know how to cheat the system – there won’t be any money left….

    • Maria

Social security employees are the ones cheating Americans. Get that straight. It is NOT the other way around.

      • James L.

        Amen

Medical necessity and documentation is the basic key to appealing Medicare denials. CCM retired.

    • Maria

Lies, third party hired in Buffalo NY purposely “misplace” documents. You can request your file and you will see for yourself. SSA will send you a cd and in a separate piece of mail a day or 2 later will send you your password. Then when you call the Syracuse office they decline to give you the name or title of who’s speaking and their tone, David, a few women decide to say “we deal with cases of people losing their house every single day, you’re nothing special and then they giggle or laugh and then hang up. That’s the type of people who work in the Syracuse office. Any questions?

      • AKA

Now I see why you make nutty remarks, you have a history with SSA and they are so used to you bothering them with nonsense that you have become the butt of their jokes.

I would like to think that most people realize that working is the best way to live a better, more fulfilling life? For those of us who are really disabled, work is a way better option!

  5. Comp.bil

Cannot believe someone actually came on site to tell others how to defraud SSI.. No wonder there are so many people making complaints. There should be a list established, if you make the list, you are restricted from any benefits for 5 years. No appeals, no legal beagles.

    • TJ

Ignore him, he has serious mental issues.

  6. Kathy S.

Having an online option is nice whether you really are disabled or not.

    • Maria

It’s an automatic denial. You were born yesterday.

  7. Jerry

So much for the mind of a crook. Seems like everyone is out for a plain old handout without ever earning it. I would hate to think I pleaded mentality disorder just to keep from working my way through life. I drive several to doctor appointments who claim mental disorder. As far as I conclude the most of them just need to accept some responsibility for themselves and get on with the good life. Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.

    • Maria

Brain injuries affect reasoning skills, speech, thoughts. Sad part is SSA staff knows this and purposely ignores it. Goes ahead and denies claims. There are thousands of suicides that could have been prevented if SSA chose to do the right thing.

      • AKA

You don’t know what you’re talking about SSA employees do not make medical decisions, the State does, they do make non-medical decisions which is what this article is about if you cared to stay on topic.

        • Sam C.

DENIED is SSA pre written piece of paper with different headings. You never saw one, did you sir. Which ever way you go it boils down to the roote, Medical, medical & medical. Try getting a $2 RX & pay $ 655 now in just a few months.

    • Charlie T.

Yeah, right. Tell that to Sandra. She is 51 and worked like a dog at low paying jobs (hard manual labor) for 30 years. Then, she came down with pancreatic cancer, underwent 8 rounds of chemotherapy that the doctors call “shake and bake” because it baked her insides and caused her to have convultions for days after a treatment. Her hair and teeth fell out. She eats through a tube because she can’t eat reglar food. She told me yesterday that she wishes she had died before she began the therapy. And idiots get on here and talk about “taking responsibility” and crap. For every one person who gets SSDI by fradulent means, a thousand will die waiting on Social Security to find time to give them a hearing. 70 percent of applicants are denied. Only 42 percent will eventually get approved by a judge, after they have been examined, re-examined, poked, prodded, questioned, and had 3 or 4 doctors swear that they are not able to perform even simple, sedentary unsilled work. If it ever happens to you (and I hope it doesn’t), maybe you will understand. Sandra, by the way, was my client. She died last night during a convulsion following chemo. I’m in no mood to read this trash.

THERE IS A LOT OF FRAUD CLAIMS ADJUDICATED YEARLY, THE TRUE STATISTICS WOULD BE INTERESTING TO KNOW, I AM SURE IT CAN BE SHOWN HOW THIS PRACTICE AFFECTS THE WHOLE APPLICATION PROCESS.

    • bettyg

PLEASE take off your caps lock; type in lower case or regular sentence where only 1st letter of a sentence is capitalized.

it’s considered SHOUTING and very hard to read for neuro cognitive folks….thanks! 😉

  9. tony

I am on mental disability. I learn some good stuff from the disability fraudsters. If you get caught mowing your grass, so say that they caught you on one of your good days and you can’t do it 40 hours a week.

The landscaper only cuts your grass twice a month. You can do it yourself and make the excuse about not being able to do it 40 hours.

Most people only go shopping once or twice a week, but they don’t do it every day.

You can do what everyone normally does and never worry about being busted on mental disability. Just say that you caught them on one of their good days.

    • John

Talking about fraudulent applications, mental disability. And I bet you never paid into the system, or very little. That’s why there’s no funds for those who are legitimately injured. Go get a job and quit draining the system.

      • Maria

Mental, cognitive, behavioral, don’t you think these people suffer enough? Why are you being mean?

      • Sam C.

The system was drained by our leaders who like to sit home in comfort while others fight useless , unnecessary wars & get killed or injured. You people biker for a few dollars that the deserving are getting or should be getting. America is the richest country on earth, yet sadly we have the worst Medical, Social Security and benefits if any. I too suffer from Chemo brain, i.e (loss of short term memory.) if someone is mowing due to lack of funds and unable to do 40 hours now, please lay off those & let them live in peace.

        • Sam C.

By the way I did not apply nor am I on any disability.

      • Glenn F.

        You are right!!!

    • Charlie T.

Any idea the kind of medical evidence it takes to convince Social Security of a “mental disability” in the first place. It’s not that they take your word for it. Really! Unless you are suicidal or homicidal and have extensive hospitalizations for mental illness, forget about getting a check! They don’t need to catch you mowing the grass. They just stamp your application DENIED and move right along.

  10. tony

The SSA’s staff must be shrinking where they don’t have enough mail staff. Having the claimants input their appeal into the computer system saves the staff time opening the mail and inputting it into the computer system.

When you have a high number of approval for disability, the number of applications increases. As the total number of approval decreases, the total number of applications decreases.

Once you approve a person who is not severely disabled, they are going to get their family and friends to apply.

    • tony

People are going to tell their neighbors that the are on disability in case the SSA CDI unit comes by asking questions. They don’t want their neighbors saying that they saw them mowing the grass or moving furniture. The neighbors see the scam and they apply too.

      • DaveH

The two of you are nuts.

        • Maria

Failing to recognize deteriorating mental health saying they’re nuts, you must be an employee

          • AKA

No, they are nuts! Their remarks are off topic and there is no CDI unit who comes around looking to see if you mow your grass.

        • Ice

          i agree, they are nuts.

          • TJ

            Ditto!

        • M

NO KIDDING !!!! Take a break from the eggnog. Then make an appointment with a shrink to discuss the rest of your conspiracy theories.

      • Charlie T.

HEE HEE, HAW, HAW, HAW! Mercy, I had a good laugh on this one! Just mail your application down to Social Security, sit back and wait on your check! It takes experienced lawyers 2 to 5 years to get a qualified claimant on Social Security. Some of my really sick clients have DIED waiting on Social Security just to give them a hearing, let alone approve benefits. So, go ahead. Invite all your friends, neighbors, club members, people on your Christmas card list….everyone…to just apply. Really, why am I answer this kind lunacy? I must be as nuts as you guys are. Sorry.

    • Maria

They fired a ton of people in Queens NY because they can actually think and declined to do city of New York people wrong. A very nice woman was fired. The video is on YouTube. The ignorant staff member seen firing her is rationalizing us vs them mentality and it’s ok, all people walking in don’t deserve their benefits. Very sad.

    • Michael

The thing is if Zobama and his administration would stop paying money out to all the illegal immigrants and stop bringing immigrants into our country then we would have enough people to do all their jobs and then the people on Social Security and disability will be paid what they are actually supposed to get , instead of what they can afford because they want to steal the money we paid into and give to people who are not even a US Citizens and does not deserve one red cent . If Obama wants to give money away then it should come out of that moron for a president pocket.
I am so glad that we have a President-Elect Donald Trump as our next President of these United States!

      • Berta

You really have no idea of what you are talking about. Show some respect for The President Of The United States. I don’t care for Donald Trump or his policies but I definitely wouldn’t call him out of his name. President Obama is NO moron, Show some respect if you even know how.
