you know where to find usFor 80 years, Social Security has been there for you and your family when you need us most. And, finding us at our field offices, where you can speak with an employee face-to-face, is easier than ever!

Our handy Field Office Locator is accessible from your computer and mobile device. On the website, you can enter your zip code to find the address, phone number and hours of the Social Security office closest to you. You can also use this tool to see a map and get directions; if you’re on your mobile device, it will even give you turn-by-turn directions.

Since you are already online, you could skip the traffic and lines by taking advantage of our other online features, too. Check out What You Can Do Online, where you’ll find that many of our services are just a click away!

For example, you use the Retirement Estimator to estimate future benefits, apply for Social Security benefits online and sign up for a personal my Social Security account. Setting up a personal my Social Security account is convenient and secure. You’ll have access to your Social Security Statement, and if you already receive benefits, you can view and print your verification letter and manage your benefits.

Some people prefer doing business in person, though, and that’s why our offices are there! Our employees are passionate about providing you with the best service possible, and we’re proud of our long history of doing so. When you visit us, whether in person or online, we’re always ready to help!

On January 3rd I came in to the 13th street office and changed my address to move my Medicare health coverage to the Archer FL. I was informed I would receive the information via mail within 30 days. It has been 3 full months and I need to see a medical dr.

Hi, Thomas. We are sorry to hear about your experience. For your security, we do not have access to private information in this venue. We ask that members in our Blog community work with our offices with specific questions. You can call us at 1-800-772-1213, Monday through Friday, between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., for assistance. Generally, you will have a shorter wait if you call later in the day. You can also contact your local Social Security office. We hope this helps.

I would like to make an appointment for myself and my husband at our local office. SSA AGENT tried but message kept telling her there weren’t any appointments available. Also, can”t open an online account due to new security requirements established by SSA. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Our local zip code is 32159.

Hi, JoAnn. Hi. You do not have to make an appointment to come in to our offices, but with an appointment, you will be helped before our walk-in customers. You can schedule an appointment with your local office by calling us at 1-800-772-1213 between 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, and a representative will assist you. In most cases, you can handle your business by phone. We hope this helps.

Where do I get Form CMS-1763 and how do I submit it? This is used to cancel Medicare B.
    Thank You

    • A.C.

Hi, Gary. To terminate your enrollment, we will help you submit a signed request for termination or Form CMS-1763. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) requires, when possible, a personal interview be conducted with everyone who wishes to terminate entitlement. Therefore, we do not offer form CMS-1763 online. For an interview, you can call us at 1-800-772-1213 (TTY 1-800-325-0778) 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday or go to your local Social Security office. Thanks.

Earlier today, I found a page which had a place to ask for a call back. It was timely and very helpful. I was afraid I would need another call to Social Security, and I do. Can I find that page? I have looked every way I can think of. Could you make it easier to find? At least available via search, but someplace even easier would be better still.

Is there any way I can pay my Overpayment bill, online rather than by phone? I do not like waiting until the last minute to pay this bill, nor do I want to be Late paying it. Please advise. Thank you again.

  10. Stephanie B.

I have a Soc. Sec. overpayment payment, due soon as in a few days . For the past week I have been trying to call the phone # on my statement and have NOT been able to get through. What do I do now? Sending the payment in the mail takes a very long time. I do not want to be overdue on this payment. Thank you for your help

    • V.V.

Stephanie, thank you for using our blog. For your security, we do not have access to your overpayment information in this venue. Our Overpayments factsheet offers information on options for repaying as well as appeal and waiver rights. For further assistance, please call our toll-free number at 1-800-772-1213 (TTY 1-800-325-0778). Representatives are available between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., Monday through Friday or contact your local Social Security office.
