The IRS will issue the EIPs via direct deposit and Direct Express starting today, May 22, to the same direct deposit account or Direct Express card as the recipient’s monthly Social Security or SSI payment. Paper check EIPs will be mailed starting May 27.

Visit our website to learn about EIPs and representative payees. You can find the eligibility requirements and other information about the EIPs at the IRS’ Economic Impact Payment Information Center.

For those still waiting for stimulus payments, I have found some things out.
Keep checking the get my payment on the IRS website daily. They update information overnight. It would have saved people a lot of heartache and anxiety if they had simply said that these checks, prepaid cards, direct express payment, and direct deposit will not show information UNTIL your payment has been scheduled, instead of just letting people keep seeing the status unknown pop up.
That being said, there are still bumps in the system. Some have received checks instead of deposit, some have been incorrectly deposited (if the name does not match the account, the BANK is supposed to refuse it and a check issued) some have received stimulus for themselves, but not depends. Supposedly they are deciding whether to correct this, or make people claim the stimulus for their children on their 2020 taxes.
The payment grid they set for when payment should go out is misleading, it makes it look like all the payments went out same day,but they didn’t!
Payments to all types of recepient are staggered, and that’s why you need to check get my payment daily. Yes, I know, pain in the butt and isn’t helpful as bills pile up and prices go up.
I hope this is helpful to many whom have been upset and have questions. I didn’t read this anywhere, this is personal experience. They have said that payments will continue through September, so just keep watching.
    Salutations.

If you are receiving Social Security for yourself only, go to https://sa.www4.irs.gov/irfof-wmsp/status. When you fill out the form, use your Social security number without the dashes. Use your exact address that’s on your Bank account. You will be given a payment status. You should your money this week. Good luck.

I recieve ssi for my 9 year old because he’s to young to manage his money so I am his representative payee he hasn’t received a stimulus payment !!!?

    • Anon

You have to claim him as a dependent on your taxes. Then you will be eligible for the $500 child payment. As he isn’t an adult, he will not receive a $1,200 stimulus.

Happy Memorial Day Ms. Darlynda Bogle, I pray that you, your family, your loved ones, and all of your peers are safe, healthy, and protected from the coronavirus and the pandemic. Please help me I haven’t received my Stimulus Payment and suffering. Please I’m begging you from my heart look into this for me and the others that have posted they haven’t received theirs either. There’s only roughly 375 comments and half of them are people who haven’t received their stimulus payment. The people who haven’t received their stimulus payment and are suffering are trying their best to communicate with someone at the government for help because of how much they are suffering, and their isn’t anyone you can call and talk to about it, that’s why the people who are commenting on your message are the people who are really suffering and desperately need your help. Please help us. God bless you Ms. Darlynda Bogle and God Bless your family, your loved ones, and all of your peers. Happy Memorial Day. This will truly be life saving if you could help.

I am a social security recipient. I still have not received my economic impact payment so I checked payment status on IRS website. It showed that payment was deposited in XXXX account on April 30,2020. Problem is the account number is not my bank account number. IRS has deposited my payment in somebody else’s bank account. Since bank account was provided by Social Security Administration to IRS there must have been breach of security of IRS payment system in which case many social security recipients will not get their payment. Check your payment status and verify your bank account number.
