Update on Economic Impact Payments for Social Security and SSI Beneficiaries

Beginning today, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) will issue Economic Impact Payments (EIP) to approximately 1.4 million SSI recipients with representative payees and 10.4 million Social Security beneficiaries with representative payees.
The IRS will issue the EIPs via direct deposit and Direct Express starting today, May 22, to the same direct deposit account or Direct Express card as the recipient’s monthly Social Security or SSI payment. Paper check EIPs will be mailed starting May 27.

Posting this as no one seems to want to help. IRS does not have sufficient information to resolve problems. I have entered my CORECT information on the Get My Payment many times and still get the message that my information does not match theirs. This is extremely frustrating fo thousands of eligible recipients. I have been getting SSI since 1991 and as of May 24, 2020 I have not received my payment!

Hi I am in the same boat I entered my information numerous time it was correct each time getting the same message you got and locked out this portal doesn’t work for me and it’s not reliable very frustrating and everything is a big mess with irs they keep switching the pay dates for ssi representative payees, ssdi, retired railroads, veterans. Some people asking about a second stimulus check when alot of us still have not gotten our first one!!!! We are still waiting congress passed this bill way in march no second stimulus checks need to be passed until everyone get theirs that’s entitled to the first one!!!! Irs need to get their s””””””” together!!!! And give us our money the ones who have not gotten their stimulus checks yet!!!!

i receive ssi ,no dependants, never filed taxes. i have no payment status no pending check deposit date . believe someone has illegally filed or carried me on thier taxes. cant get any help and if ive lost first check may also not receive second because so far have been unsucessful in getting the irs. what can i do to find out the problem. one letter wrong on first name.

I am on SSI/SSDI and have a representative payee. My monthly payments are direct deposited every month. May 22 2020 has come and gone and I still have not received my stimulus check yet. Why?????

I can’t get any response to my phone calls , I get SSI and everyone around me has gotten theirs but me . We don’t live on air and being jerked around like this is cruel I can’t get any help from a real life human and feel very defeated .
