Submitting Fraud Allegations to the OIG

The SSA Office of the Inspector General (OIG) has determined that, due to a computer error, it did not receive any fraud allegations submitted through its online fraud-reporting form from 3:30 p.m. on Monday, September 10 to 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 12, 2018.
If you submitted an allegation during this time period, please re-submit your allegation online, or you may call the OIG’s fraud hotline at 1-800-269-0271. Thank you.

Received a phone call saying that my social security is being compromised–getting fraudulent activity–and that it is about to get suspended. I should press 1 to talk to an agent before legal action against my account. I did not do that.

On 10/29/2019 I received a voicemail on my cell phone stating that my social security number the number was not mentioned was used in a felony and I needed to call them back at 347-379-1629. This call was at 11:01am and was a New York number. I did not call back

I don’t know what to do., today I got 2 phones calls about my s.s. activities. they insisted, for me to give them my last 4 digits of my s.s. .which I didn’t I argued with this guy and kept insisting tha I called them.he said he couldn’t give me information until I gave him my last #.so finally I hang up and another person is on the line gives me a case #. and he finally told me my 4 allegations.i argued again with this man . he told me tha same thing . from a call I had before. he even insisted that evn s.s would ask for my s.s. if I wre to call s.s administration !

ON 10/21/19 RECEIVED CALL FROM “SSA” THOUGHT TO BE FRAUDULENT. GAVE CALLER NO INFORMATION. ASKED CALLER TO IDENTIFY HIMSELF AND GIVE HIS PHONE NUMBER.
CALLER SAID HIS NAME IS DANNY RODGERS AND HIS NUMBER IS 510 112 7900, WHICH DISAGREES WITH THE CALLER I.D. NUMBER, 425 439 1783, WHICH APPEARED ON MY CELL PHONE AFTER THE CALL. I COULD HEAR THE CALLER BEING COACHED DURING THE CALL.

Today, October 25, 2019 I received a Voice Mail message that my SS number has been involved in a
CRIME incident and need to call (979) 635-4639, in El Campo, TX to prevent any criminal charges against my SS number (me). Delayed action on my part will result in the suspension of my SS number.
