Social security is evil I have had life threatening heart issues almost died from chf 3 times multiple trips to icu all the my doctors have said I’m not able to work social security’s doctor turned me away from giving me the examination and called an ambulance to come get me because the doctor said he thought I was going to have a stroke and yet I get denied and denied people who o.d. on drugs get approved but I am being treated horrible and discriminated against social security is no different than any other discriminatory group ! I’m barely alive and can’t even get a response from the so called helpful branch.

Social Security needs to be aware that VERY FEW deaf people use TTY’s. We use VP (Video Phones), mobile texting, and email. I threw out my TTY machine 20 years ago!
Walt
SSA still has to offer TTY for those very few people who use it..

After residing in the U.S. from birth to 68, I now live in Cotacachi, Ecuador. We no longer have a Social Security representative at our U.S. Embassy in Quito. One visits occasionally, But with the virus, I doubt we will see one in the near future. And no one wants to go to Quito where you find the most cases of the virus. I need to change my deductions on my monthly Social Security payments. And I never received Form 1099 for years 2018, 2017 and 2016 and I need copies to do amended returns, please. Advise please!

Asking a question for a friend. My friend is going to receive a settlement from a fall down the stairs at her apartment building she broke her arm and hurt head that she had to have brain surgery and she is still not doing well from the brain surgery, second she is also going to receive a large amount of settlement from a drug company that a Doctor gave her a wrong drug for a wrong diagnosis and put her in a coma, will these settlements affect her disability, can you let me know so I can tell her.

Hi Rachel, thanks for using our blog. Your friend needs to report the settlement to Social Security once she has the details. We cannot speculate on the effect without specific details. She can call us at 1-800-772-1213 for assistance or she can contact her local Social Security office. Please look for the general inquiry telephone number at the Social Security Office Locator. The number may appear under Show Additional Office Information. Please be aware that our call wait times are longer than normal. We hope this information helps.

Doesn’t they SSA know about the equal protection clause of the 5th Amendment. The SSA is treating a class of beneficiaries differently.
The representative payees for SSI beneficiaries are only allowed to save $2000 while they must save more for the SSDI beneficiaries.
The SSDI beneficiaries paid for their disabilty insurance and should be able to spend their money the way they want and just save $2000. It is their personal money and not SSI government welfare.

I received a letter from SSA stating that you do not have my correct address, yet the letter was sent to my correct address.
