i was born in new York but have lived overseas since 1974. my social security card was obtained when i was about 16 years old, i am now 81 so the card is not exactly in great condition!! is it possible to obtain a new one??? thanks for your consideration.

We recommend that individuals living outside the United States contact the nearest Federal Benefit Unit or U.S. embassy in the area for any assistance related to Social Security programs and benefits.
