    I do not have an ID or drivers license only my birth certificate I tried to set up my account but it says I’m locked out every time. And they said I got an activation code but I never did.

    I’ve had an account for a few years; I logged on 8-10 days ago with a problem. I went to log in on Friday and my ID could not be verified. I tried creating a new user account, but one already existed, which I knew. Then I tried resetting the password and received a message ‘ID cannot be Verified’. Why has this occurred and how can it be fixed? Kindly let me know

    My one time activation code expired, how can I whet another one to activate my account?

      Hi Emilia, thanks for using our blog to ask your question. When you are creating an account, you can choose to take photos of your ID or input your ID and financial information. Once that process is completed, you will be asked how you would like to get your activation code: Text, Email or Mail.

    i cant sign in i have a user name and password but didnt get a security code and it wont let me create a new account

      Hi Roxanne, thanks for using our blog. Once you sign in to your my Social Security account using your username and password, it will then ask you to verify your cell phone number and/or your email address. Once you verify that it is correct, you will receive the security code.

    Several weeks ago I requested a temporary password for my social security account. I received the password today, however, I have been unable to locate the area on this website where I enter the temporary password so I can set up my password.     I no longer have access to the email and phone number I had when I setup my ssa. How can I change the email and phone number, so I can get access?

      Hi Emily, thank you for your question. After you sign in to your my Social Security account, you can update your email address and telephone number. After inputting your username and password, you will be at the security code screen. If you mark the box “I cannot access the options listed above”, we will send you a letter with a reset code and instructions. We hope this helps!
