This is not helpful after you have filed for a restricted benefit. I am receive benefits restricted to my spouse’s record and planning to file for my own in a few years. Now, when I go to my Social Security account, it only shows me my current, spousal benefit, and tells me nothing about what my own benefit will be.

Please send me my Annual YOUR NEW BENEFIT AMOUNT letter that is usually mailed in December. My husband, Philip E. Streetman, received his last week.

I am locked out of my account, due to many attempts to log in.

I believe you do not have my new Part D figures and carrier, which should be Mutual of Omaha. Monthly deduction should be $20.80, to be deducted from my social security # *** – ** – ***.

I am a US citizen livng abroad, why can’t I get a “my social security account”?

    • Luis A.

Hi Andre. For your security, at the present, you must have a U.S. mailing address to create or access your online account. People with APO/FPO/DPO addresses can create an account overseas, but our system does not support registration and account creation for users with a foreign address yet. If you are living outside the United States, you can contact your nearest Federal Benefits Unit (FBU) for assistance with Social Security questions. For information on Social Security benefit payments outside of the U.S., please see our publication titled “Your Payment While You Are Outside the United States.” We hope this information helps.
