Appeal Your Non-Medical Decisions Online

Social Security has a new way for you to conduct business with us online. You no longer need to visit our offices or call us to appeal a denial or adverse action related to your benefits. Beginning December 10, 2016, you can file an appeal online for non-medical issues, even if you live outside the United States. Examples of non-medical appeals include those for overpayments and Medicare premium rates.
The online appeals application is simple, convenient, and secure; it guides you through every step of the process. From outlining your rights to an appeal, to publications on the appeals process, a fair review of your case is right at your fingertips. The online application also lets you upload supporting documentation and save your submission.
Submitting your appeal and necessary documents online will save time and can help expedite the decision. Here are some things you’ll need when you’re ready to submit an appeal:
- Notice date or receipt from Social Security that explains what adverse action you wish to appeal; and
- Supporting documentation you wish to add to your request for appeal.

I just got my new rate for ss payment, and I believe that the rate is not 2.8%. I am only getting on the new rate a $6.00 raise, and 2.8% of 599.00 is 16.00. I calculated my husbands and his is right . 952.00x 2.8% is 26.00, he is getting $24.00 more, I am wondering why?

I submitted request for discontinuation of the Medicare coverage and the charge for it. The request was submitted in our local SS office in the beginning of October 2018 in San Marcos, CA office.
Until this day SS Administration keeps reducing my check for the cost of Medicare.
I am traveling – visiting my children and grandchildren in Australia and Europe and I need that money for travelers insurance. Medicare cannot cover / protect me outside the US.

Received my social security statement for 2019 and I don’t understand why my medicare insurance raised $14.70? I didn’t think it was raising for 2019.

I received my Social Security benefits statement and am wondering why my amount deducted for Medicare Medical Insurance in the amount of $135.50 while last year it was only $80.00. On my letter from you it was addressed to Barbara Martin and that was an error somehow which was incorrect.

My new benefit amount shows $145.70 being deducted for Medicare Medical Insurance and I believe it should be $135.50. Also you show $15.80 for Medicare Prescription Drug Plan and that should be covered by United Healthcare according to my insurance representative. Please let me know why the discrepancy as opposed to my friends who have the same coverage as me.
