I want you to hear directly from me how the COVID-19 pandemic is affecting our services. The first thing you should know is that we continue to pay benefits. Be aware that scammers may try to trick you into thinking the pandemic is stopping your Social Security payments but that is not true. Don’t be fooled.

To protect you and help stop the spread of this coronavirus, we cannot accept visitors in our offices at this time. There are several other ways you can get help. Many services are available online. If you have a critical need that you cannot address online, we can help you over the phone.

Please visit our website to find out what services we are continuing and which ones we are suspending, how to contact us, and important information about deadlines we are extending to ease the burden on you and medical providers during this pandemic.

Should also note that SSA employees returning calls may be using their personal phones. How will they identify themselves in order for beneficiaries to know they’re not fraudsters? Certainly they will *never* ask for a SS Number. Will they give it? What other identifying information will they use?

I receive ssdi and I would like to know will I recieve the stimulus package of $1,000?

As noted by another attorney, please advise as to the status of hearing offices. An office in Colorado has cancelled –telephonic– hearings as they are working from home.

They have held up my husbands Medicare Part B for money they thought we owed. This has been going on since August 2019.Don’t bother calling them. They never call me back. We went to their office in Janary. Someone is working on it.I have left messages on a daily basis

Why on earth are you using a thin grey font? It is VERY difficult to read, and presumably is going to older adults with poorer vision. How about using the same strong typeface used in the line “About Andrew Saul, Commissioner….”?

    • VIRGINIA H.

The query re: pale grey, small font is on point. I struggle so hard with a magnifying glass to read the type but it doesn’t help with glaucoma and cornea issues that many people have. In my case, there is a grey film over the inner cornea; it feels like I’m looking though a lace curtain. It’s almost impossible to read the grey font. Tks for giving this some consideration.
