I want you to hear directly from me how the COVID-19 pandemic is affecting our services. The first thing you should know is that we continue to pay benefits. Be aware that scammers may try to trick you into thinking the pandemic is stopping your Social Security payments but that is not true. Don’t be fooled.

To protect you and help stop the spread of this coronavirus, we cannot accept visitors in our offices at this time. There are several other ways you can get help. Many services are available online. If you have a critical need that you cannot address online, we can help you over the phone.

Please visit our website to find out what services we are continuing and which ones we are suspending, how to contact us, and important information about deadlines we are extending to ease the burden on you and medical providers during this pandemic.

I am not reading through all of that link. So my friend that gets SSI since she was a child, and cannot work or find any job to hire her, because she also lacks a good amount of basic education due to always being in Special Education classes even throughout High School, she has 2 kids, she won’t get a stimulus check? Her ex makes lkke $14/hr and she receives only $165 a week for 2 kids in child support. So that alomg with her SSI monthly of $770, she is already barely making it. So what if her ex bf losea work due to the coronavirus, and then no child support? This is crazy.

Yes I agree. But did we really expect anything? We get shit… well the others run out and buy x boxes and furniture, we can struggle to buy overpriced scarce disinfectants

      • Cynthia

        Agree

I have to amend what I previously posted. I read the document McConnell is proposing.
ONLY SSDI RECIPIENTS WILL RECEIVE THE STIMULUS CHECK (TITLE II).
SSI RECIPIENTS WILL NOT…BECAUSE I GUESS WE JUST DON’T MATTER. HERE IS A LINK TO IT:

We do not matter. Hopefully for Congress, all of the SSI recipients will get the virus and die.

I’m on ssdi and I dont think I will get it. Because I didnt have to file a tax return. Cause I get 810.00 a month it still doesnt cover all my Bill’s. And I dont have any earned income. Had to buy alot more this month do to the virus now I’m broke and the month isnt over yet. Worked all my life paid taxes till disability. Guess that doesnt matter.

  4. Patricia V.

Will those of us on ss disability receive any stimulus check?

    • anthony p.

yeh if you have ssdi and have paid enough taxes at some point. i got ssi, i did work but not had enough credits to qualify for ssdi so got ssi.

      thanks for nothing trump

    • A.C.

Hi, Patricia. We understand there have been reports about the possibility of additional government payments to individuals due to the economic effects of the Coronavirus. At this time, no law has been passed that calls for Social Security to issue any new payments. We hope this helps to answer your question.

People people y’all all need to quit worry about this check . People need think about this sickness that is killing people and pull together.I know everyone needs money. The ones that work think they are only paid taxes but the one on ssi and social security payed in before they got on it .
