I’ve received Social security since I became 62. I have since been employed as a real estate Agent. I am now 72 years old. Is it possible for me receive more benefits since I have working as an agent?

    • L.A.

Hi, Faye. Each year, we review the records for all working Social Security beneficiaries to see if additional earnings may increase their monthly benefits. If your earnings for the prior year are higher than one of the years we used to compute your retirement benefit, we will recalculate your benefit amount. If an increase is due, a new monthly benefit amount is established on your record automatically. For more information, check out our web page, Getting Benefits While Working. We hope this information helps.
