The IRS will issue the EIPs via direct deposit and Direct Express starting today, May 22, to the same direct deposit account or Direct Express card as the recipient’s monthly Social Security or SSI payment. Paper check EIPs will be mailed starting May 27.

Visit our website to learn about EIPs and representative payees. You can find the eligibility requirements and other information about the EIPs at the IRS’ Economic Impact Payment Information Center.

Idk why I qualify for this 1200 and I’m on SSI BUT I CAN’T GET MY son’s 500? My son happen to be named on my boyfriend’s taxes but he did not get his 500 so that would mean I should get it! But irs won’t even let me claim or get this money for my child? I’m very much frustrated by this problem and still I have not gotten my 1200 or my child’s my son is not a legal dependent on my boyfriend’s taxes so now why can’t I receive his 500 on my amount?

How old is your son? If he is 17, he does not qualify. Dependents who are 16 and younger qualify for the extra $500 payment.

I have not been anyone’s spouse or dependent since 2009. I am not required to file a income tax return. I am disabled and I have not received my stimulus check. My SSA is directed deposited in my checking account. Is there a problem.

I am on regular Social Security disability insurance and I normally don’t do tax returns I did one around April 15 just to make sure I got the stimulus package but I have not heard or received anything. Everyone I know has received theirs but I haven’t. Did I mess up?

I’m not sure what information the IRS is using as I receive SS direct deposit, filed my taxes, I meet all requirements to get my $1200.
Wednesday, May 20, I received a call from my sister who lives in WVa, she received a paper check for my stimulas payment. I used
To live with her over 4yrs ago. I had changed my address to Tx, filed my taxes with Tx address. Why did they send my check to WVa?? It’s a good thing this was my sisters address who knows where it would have ended up.
They are using info over 4 years old!!
