The IRS will issue the EIPs via direct deposit and Direct Express starting today, May 22, to the same direct deposit account or Direct Express card as the recipient’s monthly Social Security or SSI payment. Paper check EIPs will be mailed starting May 27.

Visit our website to learn about EIPs and representative payees. You can find the eligibility requirements and other information about the EIPs at the IRS’ Economic Impact Payment Information Center.

Hello once more and I would very much like to commend U for all of this information as I too have asked IRS about this and their information to or for me is Zero!!! I would also love it if by chance U could or might give me some idea of just how the sending of payments are possibly done??? Meaning my sister got her payment on the 15th of April and she lives in Washington State… My sister in law also lives near to her and she got her payment 2 days ahead of said sister??? Now I gave this some thought and my sister last name is Buckley and sister in Law is also Gilbert like me,,, Then today I met a guy here in the Philippines that lives in Massachutes and he tried to tell me that IRS goes via alphabet??? To determine who gets paid and or when??? Can U possibly give me some idea of how IRS determines when or how each person that gets said Stimulus is or will receive it??? Thank U very much for your time and I really do appreciate your efforts to inform me of what is going on with said Stimulus Payments!!!

Standing Q : Expats that receive Soc Sec Pension with Direct Deposit in EEU (ie Greece), that are NON filers, and have NO US Bank Account, and only a valid Foreign mailing address with SSA but not with the IRS (since they are Non Filers (low Income). Will they get their EIP with direct deposit to the Bank they Get Their Soc Sec pension? Will they get it by mail to the mailing address on record with soc security? OR what? These are concerns of the approx 14,500 Soc Sec Beneficiaries in Greece and I am sure elsewhere

Hi…i lost my sosial security card and i needs replacement. This card…please help..
    Best regards

    • V.V.

Hi Sada, thank you for your question. First, realize you may not need a replacement card. You will rarely need to show it. Knowing your Social Security number is what is important. However, if you must get a replacement card, you may be able to apply online. Check out our Frequently Asked Questions web page for details on how to apply for a replacement Social Security card. If you are unable to apply online and you do not want to mail in your documents, which will be returned, you may need to wait for the offices to reopen. Use our Social Security Office Locator to find your local office address. We hope this helps.

Standing Question : Expats that are Non Filers and receive Social Security pension with Direct deposit to an E.E.U. Bank (Greek bank), and with no US bank Account, with a Valid foreign (Greek) address with SSA, will they receive their EIP via Direct banking to their Greek Bank headquartered in Athens ? Will they get it by mail to their Greek address the one on record with SSA but NOT with the IRS??? These are standing questions and concerns of the approx 14,500 SSI recipients in Greece and I am sure for all expats. Best Regards
