Submitting Fraud Allegations to the OIG

The SSA Office of the Inspector General (OIG) has determined that, due to a computer error, it did not receive any fraud allegations submitted through its online fraud-reporting form from 3:30 p.m. on Monday, September 10 to 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 12, 2018.

If you submitted an allegation during this time period, please re-submit your allegation online, or you may call the OIG’s fraud hotline at 1-800-269-0271. Thank you.

    I received a call saying it was from Social Security Administration in reference to a Federal criminal and investigation department and they need to talk to me as soon as possible. It was. from phone number 682-257-3094, North Richland Hills, Tx. Is this a verified number and location from one of your offices????

    “This call is to inform you that we have got an order to suspend your social …..?….within 24 hours…….. because we have found suspicious and….?… activity on your social. To get more information about this case file, please call immediately on our Department number 786-692-9669. I repeat, 786-692-9669. Thank you.”

    saying this is my final notice from SSA that they have decided to suspend my Social Security number as it show suspicious activity and are filing a lawsuit

    I’ve gotten 10 calls saying they are social Security administration from Pennsylvania Alexandra.
    There number is (814) 667-4520.
    And they have called me all day none stop. I’ve gotten 14 calls today.
    I want them to stop.
    Please help me to get them to stop calling me.

    I received a call stating that my name and social number was used in Texas. They said they found over $200,000 in illegal money and drugs, a car and a house in my name. They said they are suspending my social security number until further investigationsThe # they used is 888-592-4123

    Caller ID showed US Government. Caller said he was investigating fraud involved with drugs, etc. Then press 7 to talk to a representative. Clue 1: Had foreign accent. Asked for my SS#. Gave me his badge no.107598. I said f…k you, sue me in court. I hung up. You can easily be drawn in if you don’t watch it. I remembered a tv ad from Social Security that said they would never call you at home and ask for your number. T.Y. Social Security
