Submitting Fraud Allegations to the OIG

The SSA Office of the Inspector General (OIG) has determined that, due to a computer error, it did not receive any fraud allegations submitted through its online fraud-reporting form from 3:30 p.m. on Monday, September 10 to 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 12, 2018.

If you submitted an allegation during this time period, please re-submit your allegation online, or you may call the OIG’s fraud hotline at 1-800-269-0271. Thank you.

    This number continues to call me 1-800-052-4213 claiming to be your office wanting more information or my social security number and services will be permanently suspended . i have not responded or give them any information

    Hello, please, if you can avoid the social security phone number of Burbank Ca for an appointment, I received 930.32 per month. They reduced my benefits. I pay $ 600 of rent who can live with $ 10 dll per day. Thank you for your time and help. Alfredo Osorno-essantosanto@gmail.com

    I have received 3-4 calls/day from “SSA rep” (?)
    informing me my ss # in suspended!
    I did not respond. calls come from:
    877.032.7061, 877.853.1130 and877.356.3224.
    I think if there was a problem, you would send me a letter. you need to know about this.

    DE Kalb, MS
    It was an automated call that said my ssi card was compromised, I hung up and contacted you to confirm if you have contacted me.

    hello, I was contacted on my phone 7168708591 by An SSA impersonator calling from956-377-2950 claiming something alarming about our, my husbands and my, SSA benefits They called on May23, 6:08PM. I hope you catch them. I am reporting this for all those who do not know how to use a computer and advise you of their false alarm calls, Sincerely, Marie A. Nichols

    After 4:00 PM, received call from 805-244-6524. Message: Caller said SSA was calling, the Federal Crime and Investigation Department of the SSA. He indicated it was important for me to contact the SSA at 805-244-6524.
    I did not answer the phone; just listened to message.

    I received a call today, May 14, 2019, at around 1:30 PM, on my cell phone 650/580-1991,
    telling me that my Soc.Sec. numbers has been compromised and is not valid anymore. I suppose this
    is a scam. Please verify. Thank you.
