I received a call from someone saying they were from Social Security. I probably would have doubted iir but I had just turned in paper work at SS and they said I they needed more info they would request it.
Anyway I gave them my name , social security number and birthdate.
Then he started sati was a suspect in a drug trafficking ring. I starting asking him questions and he said if anything went wrong I would be held responsibly. I told him I was turning him in to the Attorney General and he hung up. Now I am worried since I gave him all my information.
He called from a Texas number.

Can you please let me know if there’s something I should do?
    Thanks

I just got a call from 1 603 3314949. The voicemail said my social security number or account has been compromised and to contact them. I did not call back. But I am concerned. My computer was hacked Mid April. I had to wipe computer clean, close my bank accts. etc. changed my email. Is there a way to protect my social security info etc in case the computer hackers got my personal information. Please advise

I received a call today telling me to call my SS office immediately at: 662-307-2136 so that I won’t lose my benefits. I did not take the call but they left a message. I called the SS office at: 800-772-1213 and they had a recording telling people to report these calls. Is this correct?

I received two calls yesterday claiming to be from Social Security Admin. Both calls claimed there was a issue with my social security number and to call 6623072136 or my social security number would be suspended and my benefits would be stopped.
