SSA Talks - Commissioner O'Malley's Top PrioritesCommissioner Martin O’Malley joined SSA Talks to discuss his top priorities. Since being sworn in on December 20, 2023, Commissioner O’Malley has been focused on the most pressing issues facing the agency and three top priorities: 1) Reduce call wait times, 2) Issue faster disability decisions, 3) Resolve inequities in overpayments and underpayments.

In this 18-minute episode, Commissioner O’Malley discusses these challenges – and a path to improve customer service. He also explains how his new SecurityStat initiative drives data-driven decision making and change at a more rapid pace.

I just received my unfavorable decision by the ALJ regarding my re-hearing on 4-4-24 after the review council found 4 errors in law in the ALJ’s initial
decision & vacated it. The ALJ has made my case personal and not based on a factual & proper evaluation of my case records. I’m lost at this point just really depressed

Where is restoration for people who’ve suffered from SSA’s Overpayment miscalculations?

There’s been time enough to restore. Return the money.
    Just return the money.

It’s less expensive to settle than it is to respond to lawsuits from everyone.

SSA needs to understand, it’s more trouble than it’s worth. We are not going to wait any longer. Restore the money collected for Overpayment.

The Pennsylvania bridge was ALSO a collapse—but the new bridge was built in 12 days.

*NOTICE* if THE OVERPAYMENT allegedly happened in 2020 it should be waived and dismissed. Some all the way up to 2023. So check your notices people. 2020-2023, you qualify to have it waived and removed.

SOCIAL SECURITY ADMINISTRATION is being RANSACKED FROM WITHIN by their very own OIG, CDI PROGRAM UNIT, overseers, contractors and affiliates. They are intentionally causing financial hardships, blocking all types of income so you can’t progress, poisoning people by giving them unknown substance without their knowledge by threatening an paying someone who usually would have access to your nutrition to put these things into your food and beverages. Finding and USING (doppelgangers) people that look like you to report or say that you been places that you never actually been or at that moment. They intentionally block all opportunities for income and also online sources of income so don’t think being an online trader will work. All these while they threaten and pay people “to not say anything” it’s a secret” “they’re not suppose to know” ” don’t tell them” meanwhile they threaten people to make FALSE statements about the individual and force them to believe conspiracies and many FALSE theories of the reasons why this is OCCURING. SSA is a POVERTY PROGRAM is what they claim to keep you unemployed and isolated. The SSA OIG routinely deal in RACKETEERING, CONSPIRACY AND FRAUD. RANSACKING THE ADMINISTRATION FROM WITHIN.

Overpayments are being pursued by Individuals claiming to be with the social security administration and are threatening individuals, companies, employers not to hire or do business with the Individuals the social security administration is pursuing with the alleged secretive debt they’re not suppose to know exists. The social security administration debt collectors tell neighbors, family, acquaintances and anyone their targeted Individual comes across, that they’re intentionally causing poverty because the individual is in a POVERTY PROGRAM which belongs to the SSA. They laugh and smile about the oppression and despair they are causing. They tell people that the Individual has “debt” that they are “not suppose to know about” and the community tells them, then why are y’all after them? If they are not allowed to work or know that a debt exist? And they simply smile and mention all the money they’re making while the government is WASTING money.

  6. Laurie B.

Most people didn’t even receive any actual money from an “overpayment” they just threw them in the mix like most Federal government agencies do with citizens. How can you be overpaid when you stopped receiving money months prior due to not being eligible or qualifying months prior? liars

  7. Susan M.

How does a person know that they have an overpayment? When they’re not supposed to know that they have an overpayment and it’s a secret that you can’t know and to make matters worse, you can’t work and are not allowed to work and you won’t work because the SSA threatens employers to not hire you or even talk to you, so that way they can STEAL CONTRACT MONEY CHASING A FALSE DEBT THAT YOU DON’T KNOW EXISTED BECAUSE IT’S A SECRET AND YOU’RE NOT SUPPOSE TO KNOW.. AND THEY WONT ALLOW YOU TO WORK ON TOP OF THAT. Why does the social security administration do that? They also install cameras in your bathrooms and use your unclothed images to create CGI, deep fakes, synthetic media videos of you doing things you never actually done and places you never been. Everyone is usually complicit in it.

  8. Holly S.

listen carefully, when you have a problem that only money can resolve, and they give you a problem that only money can resolve, they benefit from you having a problem that only money can resolve, SO THEY BLOCK ALL TYPES OF INCOME SO YOU CAN’T RESOLVE THAT PROBLEM AND THEY CAN BENEFIT SINCE IT’S THEIR JOB TO GIVE YOU THAT PROBLEM. Remember these individuals don’t think like everyday Americans, because they’re not, these individuals are USA contracted allies from some heinous countries in Eurasia and Europe-South Afrikaner Boers, they scam the American government. That’s what happens when you put your trust in people that look like you simply because they’re white and their skin color looks the same.. but those Eurasians and Europeans-South Afrikaner Boers never liked or respected the USA and are never going to. They ransack every government agency in the USA. Easy… Give them a problem only money can solve… And block the money from coming in, so that way they have a forever contract. Do you get it?

Immediate attention should be rework forms. Nine pages for a form that has less than two pages of input for annuitant to complete, it’s wasteful. Public copier cost, FAX, copied for reference and records…it’s outrageous waste. It’s a mindless miss for SSA. Fix this.

Does anyone ever receive a reply to their blog comments from the SSA?

    • S.D.

Hi, Walter. Thank you for reading our blog and for your question. We respond on our blog to general questions and provide information on our Retirement, Survivors, Disability, Medicare and SSI programs and other Social Security-related topics. If you have a general question, we encourage you to ask here. But remember, never post personal information on social media. If you have a specific question or concern, please contact your local Social Security office for assistance. You can also call 1-800-772-1213, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. We hope this helps.

      • Miller

Hi, Sue. I, too, am having many problems trying to address the absurdity of the process and the incorrect decisions based on inaccurate information. Your reps at 1-800-772-1213 either give wrong information that you discover later is wrong, or they are quick to direct you to your local office where it is walking into a nightmare. Bad attitudes and lazy workers who have no problem giving intentionally or ignorantly false information. There is no place else for us to turn. Letters to supervisors and Directors in Governor DeWine’s Cabinet are not working. I would like to send my complaint(s) directly to the Commissioner, if I could, but all correct contact info for government officials is not available. If Baltimore is the main office, do you think I could send my complaints and evidence supporting my complaints to Baltimore with the Commissioner’s name on it? I think we all just really want to be heard and acknowledged. We want someone who makes the rules to have to follow the rules, too, and see just how bad things are. So, is Baltimore a good address for correspondence to the Commissioner or do you have a better one I could use? Thanks for your assistance.

        • S.D.

We’re sorry to hear about your experience, Miller. You can mail correspondence to Commissioner Martin J. O’Malley at the mailing address shown here. We hope this helps.

Thinking that same thing. If it’s a machine, change it up a little. All it ever does is pat you on the hand, oh sorry.
Have you tried calling the 800 number?
