Social Security and OIG Establish New Anti-Fraud Units
Reading Time: 1 MinuteLast Updated: June 30, 2021
Social Security has zero tolerance for fraud; we are committed to detecting and preventing it. Our agency is diligent and proactive when it comes to protecting the information entrusted to us.
Since 1997, Social Security’s Office of the Inspector General has worked with other divisions within Social Security to establish the Cooperative Disability Investigations (CDI) Program. The CDI Program helps us identify, investigate, and prevent Social Security disability fraud before benefits are ever paid. CDI Units assist disability examiners in making informed decisions, ensure payment accuracy, and generate significant taxpayer savings, for both federal and state programs.
In 22 years, the program has grown to 46 units covering 40 states, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. territories. We have opened several units in the last few years as we work together to provide CDI coverage to all 50 states by 2022.
This week, we are proud to announce the expansion of this successful anti-fraud initiative. Three new statewide offices recently in Bismarck, North Dakota; Boise, Idaho; and Helena, Montana. In addition, the Puerto Rico office has expanded its investigative scope to include cases in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Since 1997, the CDI Program has contributed $4 billion in projected savings to Social Security’s programs, and $3 billion in projected savings to other federal and state programs.
Learn more about our CDI Program by visiting Social Security’s anti-fraud website.

Fraud prosecutions are generally bogus and presumed dangerous. As it is used in this article these anti-disability fraud units constitute discrimination against disability. The truth of the matter is that social security is pessimistically overestimated by an Actuary who is unable to calculate the OASDI tax rate, and most of all short funded, by the maximum taxable limit – the true fraud that must not be aggressively defended. SSA needs to say they don’t have the money right now to sustain 1% DI population grpwth, and this constitutes deprivation of relief benefits. By focusing the hapless term, ‘fraud’, on people arbitrarily applying for disability, because they are poorer than they would like to be, these anti-fraud units are a form of violent political corruption concealing other true ‘frauds’, errors, swindles, poverty traps, tax loopholes in the social security system, that actually require due diligence.
The United Nations Summit was pleasant, if boycotted for opposition defiance disorder. The Report of the Secretary General on SDG Progress 2019 (Special Edition) is even better than 2008 Progress Report on the MDGs. Social security benefits for the people earning less than the international poverty line, written out of SDGs, is written in as, ‘only 40% of nations have income insurance.’ Young people around the world competed to present their climate change defects. The success of the Polar Code of January 1, 2017 to produce natural sea surface temperatures in the Arctic ocean, during the natural cold and snowy winter of 2018-2019, reported by the Australian Bureau of Meteorology, but blanked out by NOAA, relapsed with the wildfires in the Amazon, Portugal, and Siberia, that warmed Europe above 40°C, in response to Department of Commerce v. New York et al (June 2019). WHO Essential Nutrition Actions: Mainstreaming Nutrition Through the Life-Course (2019) indicates that the UN may be too brittle boned to bear the burden of proof, due to offhand propaganda on pg. 103, encouraging protein to treat osteoporosis although excess protein eliminates calcium and the omission of a prescription for routine calcium supplementation for menopausal women, inhibits the formation of calcium, vitamin D and phosphorus into ‘apatite’, wanted to heal bones and tooth enamel. Brush teeth within ten minutes of eating sugar. It is time for adults to compete regarding the use of the term ‘carbon dioxide’ in a factual sentence under the Framework Convention on Climate Change to be judged by the International Court of Justice, (well-established on pg. 108 of Global Environment Outlook: Healthy Planet, Healthy People 2019) the UN Environment email doesn’t work, such as ‘Carbon dioxide levels indicate air pollution from fossil fuel emissions in nine out of ten cities.’ ‘Wildfires’ and ‘oceanic heating pumps’ require equal treatment. ‘In fire season, to prevent campfire smolder from turning into wildfire, burnouts must be extinguished with water and/or mineral soil.’ ‘Finders must keep self-combusting styrene railcars, used as oceanic heating pumps, extinguished every three months, with 15 parts per million of 4-tertiary-butyl-catechol (TBC), cable the railcars out of the ocean, to a warship or oil-tanker, to be quickly delivered to a refinery, for conversion to a stable hydrocarbon.’
The Secretary General huffed he would like ‘to tax fossil fuels not employment’ in regards to Finance for Development. Whereas social security benefits are the only way the common law in the treaties comprising the International Bill of Rights provide to raise billions of people out of poverty, this disorderly opposition to solving Goal 1, places the depressed OECD DAC balance in the loony bin with carbon dioxide, Brexit and free camping for pedestrians as the way to live in harmony with nature; not to be explained until 2030. Essentially, the UN is testing the patience of HA by search for withheld answer, until 2030. The non-academic problem is, in the USA the rich and underinsured state employees need to be taxed the 12.4% OASDI tax, on all their income, now to end child poverty by 2020 and all poverty by 2030, by paying for an increase in my disability from $711 mo. (2019) to $2,000 mo. (2020) to fill one of two vacant Public Trustee positions, to sign the 2020 Annual Report of the Board of Trustees of Federal OASI and DI Trust Funds, bearing my Message. The Democratic candidates are thinking about thinking it is up to them, to redefine taxable wealth. The President’s talk of peace and raising people out of poverty, at the UN Summit, glosses over his total incompetence in international relations and government. His Congress, challengers and champions, must redress his psychotic throwing away of current account balance wealth, to play the xenophobic rich robber baron, beginning with international assistance, undefended by Congress’s defective zero growth policy in CR 18, like other Cabinet agencies. Passing Book 5 Customs (CC) first thing FY 20 Congress would pay $1 billion arrears for UNRWA and UNESCO and 2.5% annual program level inflation from FY 16, 3% for international agricultural assistance, to avoid being charged for arrears under Art. 19 of the UN Charter. North Korea had a bad harvest!!! The Swiss Formula for Unilateral Tariff Reductions (2007) must be upgraded from algebra to calculus, 0.99 for developing and 0.97 for industrialized nations, annual tariff reduction (from 2016 where hyperinflationary). Before the 2020 Presidential elections, the Speaker of the House and Secretary of State are to be impeached ex. rel. for their compulsive whistleblowing pursuant to Garcetti v. Ceballos, No. 04-473 (2006). Her and the ex-CIA Secretary of State’s, torture by mind-altering substances and lack of subject matter jurisdiction, has sanctioned all the English-speaking houses of Parliament, in the world – stark, raving, mad http://www.title24uscode.org/september2019.html

I have report to the OIG, at that time I had two (2) consecutive calls. When I hear the message I hang up. The most I have heard was that my social has be cancelled because of suspicious activity. Then it ask me to press 1. I immediately hung up. Now today I’ve gotten two more calls from two different numbers.
numbers are supposedly out of California,
(707)886-0055, (559)393-4731, (707)019-2993, (559)261-5739.
And yes no one at SSA or OIG answers the phones. This can be disturbing to our seniors. Maybe if you answered the phones they wouldn’t get scared into calling these fools and giving them vital information. This is what the president and all these other politicians should be spending advertising money on. I suggest every senior that can vote call their state representatives and demand they spend this money on fixing all these scam problems or else you won’t vote for them. We waste too much money on the wrong things, Stop letting people scam our seniors and those vulnerable to these scare tactics. I calling my rep right now and writing a letter to him,
A.C.
Hi, Donna. We are sorry to hear that you are having difficulty reaching someone by phone. We are experiencing higher than normal call volume. Keep in mind we do not usually make random calls. If anyone receives calls saying they are from Social Security, do not give out any personal information. Suspicious calls can be reported to the Office of the Inspector General at 1-800-269-0271 or online. You can also report these scams to the Federal Trade Commission through a site specific to Social Security scams, here. We hope this helps.

Hi Marquise. A representative payee is required to keep records of all payments received and how they are spent or saved. Usually, Social Security will send your Representative Payee a “Representative Payee Accounting Report” once a year. The payee can mail the paper form to us or they can submitted online.
If you think a representative payee is misusing your benefits, tell Social Security right away. Please call us at 1-800-772-1213 (TTY 1-800-325-0778) between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday to speak to one of our representatives, or, you can contact your local Social Security office. We will investigate all allegations of misuse, gather facts and evidence, and make a decision on whether the benefits have been misused. You will receive a letter from Social Security telling you what we found. If we find that the benefits have been misused, Social Security may name a new representative payee for you or send the benefits to you directly. We will then take action to recover the misused money. You may also want to read our publication titled “When A Representative Payee Manages Your Money,” for more information on this issue. We hope this helps.

We have too many fraudsters receiving disability for a fake mental disorder. We need to bust crooked lawyers like Eric Conn. When you have a lawyer using the same psychiatrist/ psychologist for all of their client’s medical opinion and RFC, there might be a problem. We seen this in Puerto Rico and West Virginia.
The best mental health fraudster are the ones claiming anxiety and agoraphobia. How does the agoraphobia fraudsters leave his house to shop for food and eat. I didn’t know you can turn off your fears at will. The fraudsters with anxiety will claim that they can’t be around people, but there are jobs that they work with olbject instead of people.
The depression fraudsters will check themselves into the emergency rooms at a hospital. You know the hospital can’t release them unless they are able to manage themselves. They spend less than a week there and don’t go back for months, years, or never. This is not “persistent” major depression.
The SSA doesn’t even check to see if it is a psychiatrist/psychologist or a PCP prescribing the antipsychotic medication. A PCP is not a specialist. I never heard of a PCP not referring a person with severe mental health problems to a specialist. If they are only see the PCP, then their mental health is manageable and not severe.
