They may be able to determine if your direct deposit failed. If you still need to report a late, missing or stolen Social Security payment, call us toll-free at 1-800-772-1213 for assistance or you can contact your local Social Security office. Please look for the general inquiry telephone number at the Social Security Office Locator. The number may appear under Show Additional Office Information.     My daughter is trying to get her baby’s SS card, it was originally mailed to the wrong address. She has been told she has to mail her driver’s license to SS to be able to get another copy of her daughter’s SS card and will just have to drive safely for two weeks or more until her driver’s license is returned. Why can’t she make an appt to take it in to the office. I can’t imagine it is legal to make her send her driver’s license to you.

    Our almost 16 year old daughter is trying to get her driving learner’s permit in OH. We have her SS number, a copy of the card, but not the card. We have a 1099 with only a partial number on it. We can not find her card. Does she really have to be 18 to get a replacement card now?

    I went down to the SS office to get a replacement card for new employment and was told I HAVE to do it online now. So…I just completed the online application….and provided my ID and personal info. It said I would get a receipt message/proof that I had a card etc in the msg center,
    No msg. How long does this take?? I need one asap.

    Has anyone tried to change their address to receive a replacement ss card yet? Oh boy. I still have not been able to and nobody seems to know what I have to do.

If we cannot verify the mailing address that you entered for a replacement Social Security card, you will not be able to obtain a replacement card online.     Hi i was just helping my daughter create a My SS account because she lost her SS card and would like a replacement. all she has is her permit i took the picture of like it says to then it said it had some problem so she had to put in her permit number after that it asks for additional information like W2s or last 8 digits of a credit card number and 2 other things which i forgot but she doesn’t have any of those. So i was wondering what can she do now? She tried to go back in to try taking the picture again but now its not letting her i think she tried to many times.

      AZ Auto licensing department will not accept my medicare health ins card as Social Security ID.
