Is the state of Florida authorized to emit lost SS cards on line?

Hi Lesbia. Good news! If you live in Florida, you may be eligible to request a replacement Social Security card online! 7. Susan B.

Hello, I helped my Dad apply for a replacement SS Card on 9/24/19. We have not received the replacement as of yet – Today is 10/15/19. Please advise.

My dad is legally blind and cannot navigate this process independently. I have a letter of receipt.

    Thank you.

    • L.A.

Hi Susan. Thanks for your comment. Typically, after we receive an application and verify the documents, an individual should receive their Social Security card by mail within 10 business days. To follow up on your father’s application for a Social Security replacement card, he may have to return to the office where he filed his application. On his receipt there should be a local Social Security office phone number for him to call and speak to someone about the status of his card. We hope this helps.
