This is during the COVID-19 shelter-in place. Social Security offices closed. I applied and submitted Retirement Benefit on-line. I assumed that meant my application was accepted and no need to mail anything.
But as I closed out a note appeared tell me I needed to send a copy of my 2019 earnings and current 2020 earning to date. WHERE do I send this? No mailing address was given. And do I need to also mail copy of the application WITH the W-2 ?

    • A.C.

Hi, P W. Thanks for your question. You can contact your local Social Security office for assistance. Be sure to look for the general inquiry telephone number under Show Additional Office Information. Please be aware that our call wait times are longer than normal. We hope this helps.

I have a re-entry number. When I try to log in the system asks me for my user name. Is that my name or my social security number or my email?

    • V.V.

Hi Donald. Check out our Frequently Asked Questions web page for details on returning to an online application using a re-entry number. We hope this helps.

I am recieving ssi at the moment because I am on home dialysis and have seizures, but am trying to get an apartment because my dad kicked me out. But where I live the apartments are out of my budget and I am not sure what I can do because I cannot afford it with all the bills I pay. Can they allow you more money if it is an emergency? What can I do?

    I registered for Medicare-part-A when I turned 65 in 2019.
Our company just had massive layoffs and I’ve lost my company heath insurance.
I’ve filled out the forms for Medicare-Part-B; since your website will not allow registration online for just part-B.
My local office is shutdown due to the corona virus.
How can my spouse and I complete our registrations?
    Urgent in Ohio

I have custody of my twin Nieces and just located their biological father via DNA test. He is on Disability and I would like to see if the twins qualify to receive a disability check based off their father receiving one. How do I do that? Is there an application specifically for this issue i can fill out or do I need to make an appointment and bring in custody documents as well as the DNA documents showing proof to start this process? The site isnt specific to this type of issue.

Could I have the number to call for Medicaid and Socisl Security Disability

  10. Linda S.

I am 69 years old and last year I made just over $8,000 in SSI and less than $12,000 for the year. I have health issues and I am having trouble paying my medical bills and having money for food or fixing a place to live. Is there a way to go from Medicare to Medicaid- to get help with my Doctor bills or have some extra money for food and living expenses? I have proof of my 2019 income and I am currently living in a small Toyota Winnebago without water. IF there is a program I can apply to for farther assistance, can you please tell me what forms to fill out and where to obtain them online?
    Thank you very much.
