   i just opened up a my soc. sec. acct. on second try it will not accept my password. tried over again then was locked out . tried again today 6/1 no good . where can I get assistance?

   Help! I am a Canadian resident but I have started to visit the USA for a few months in the winter. Would that US address qualify as my valid USA address in order to create a My Social Security account?

   Opening an account at my security is impossible. There must be another way. Everytime i try 3 of 4 questions dont pertain to me. I answer none of the above. No good. Some one please help

     Hi Stanley, for assistance, your wife can call our dedicated “my Social Security-Hotline”. To reach this hotline, she can call 1-800-772-1213 (TTY 1-800-325-0778), Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. At the voice prompt, she needs to say “helpdesk”. She can also, contact the local Social Security office. Thanks!

   Ok I will try that but last time I called that # it took over an hour to even have them answer phone & the man told me to go online & create account ????

   hi, I would like to create an online account. I had a previous online with another email address I no longer use. How can I create a new online account with social security?

     Hello Patricia. if you are unable to create an account or encounter a problem with your my Social Security account, you may:
     •Call us at 1-800-772-1213 (TTY 1-800-325-0778), Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. At the voice prompt, say “helpdesk”; or
     •Contact your local Social Security office. Thanks!

    Hello, My Social Security Account was frozen because I did not have a credit card (I use a visa debit card from Vietcombank). I also did not file a tax return because I am over 68 and do not need to.

    Is there anyway I can still signup for a My Social Security Account?
