I keep trying to open an account but the system will not let me. The SSA rep said to call Equifax and they will remove a credit freeze on my credit report and that is why SSA cannot access my account. Tier two supervisor at Equifax states that there is no credit freeze with them and to call SSA back.
Hold or freeze must be on SSA end. Called back and put on hold for over an hour. What a waste of time.

I tried to set up an account….answered all the litany of questions but when it came time to select an user name, I kept getting rejected…….NOT HAPPY. called several times to no avail. WHY make it so impossible to set up the account? In fact, one of your fellow comrades, told me that they constantly get complaints about setting up the user name and password but no one listens.
