I tried to create new account at myaccount.socialsecurity.gov, but it keeps denying me when I enter my primary phone number.
Then it locked my web page, and asked me to retry in 24 hours, which I waited for 3 days before trying again, and then I failed again.
It has done that 3 times, in the last 3 weeks.
THIS IS DISTURBING!

My wife and I both need to create accounts, why can’t we both use the same computer to do it? I created my account but when my wife tries to access the site to create her account the site won’t accept her info and create an account.
How can we get her account using the on -line site.on the same computer?

If a child is collecting benefits would I be able to see the child amount and statements on my online social security account? Would my child be linked to me under 18 years of age?
R.F.
Your “my Social Security” account is for your own personal use, Tina. You can only see your own benefit information. Thanks!

More often than not, tipsters, readers, friends, and one’s own flesh of Eater comprise one question: Where should a specific break bread accurate now? Restaurant obsessives fall short of to discern what’s fashionable, what’s live, which favorite chef nothing but launched a sophomore effort. And while the Eater 38 is a crucial resource covering past it standbys and neighborhood essentials across the town, it is not a list of the “it” places of the moment. Fashion, the club offers the Eater Heatmap, which choice transform on a symmetrical constituent to always Chicago’s Top Restaurants highlight where the crowds are flocking to at the moment.

I need help finding an old account. And I couldn’t find it. Thanks

Social Security sources always tell you to sign up for an account on line, but they never tell you that if you have credit bureau freezes in place, your online request will be rejected, with little explanation other than to “call”. When you call, you are told the only way to get an account is to lift the freezes or to visit a social security office in person. How inconvenient is this? I refuse to pay to lift my credit freezes, just to get an account, and I cannot visit my local office without taking a day off work. Just seems like typical bureaucracy to me.

We apologize for the inconvenience, Richard. You’re right, you cannot create a my Social Security account online if you have a security freeze, fraud alert, or both on your credit report. You can still create an account without removing the security freeze or fraud alert, but you will have to visit your local Social Security office. Thanks!
