To reach this hotline, call 1-800-772-1213 (TTY 1-800-325-0778), Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. At the voice prompt, say “helpdesk”, or contact your local Social Security office.

I tried to sign in but was given an error message saying that you do not have record of the email address I sent. I annotated that I forgot my email address, again I was sent an error message and asked to type my email address again (how can I retype a wrong email again when I was already told it is the wrong one?). There was the same reply. How can I retrieve anthing that shows I have an account? I tried to sign up but was told somebody already have that SS number and or email address. What else ca I do to sign in or sign up? Your phone number never answers.

    Sincerely.
    Estrellita Lazo Davis

Due to stolen checks we were forced to change our banking account numbers. The current number on record is no longer valid.
A number is now in effect which required updating at the SSA.

    • R.F.

Hello Felix, please see our “Frequently Asked Questions” web page for information on this topic. Thanks!
