   I wish I could be happy I don’t get SS cannot buy food I worked for years paid taxes also paid into SS I also suffer with high blood pressure have to be on medication for ever. I also owe medicarte I came to this country legally. I lost my documents it is costing money to get it back let me know how I can get temporary funds. My email is lyrisprescod@yahoo.com.

     You may be able to receive emergency funds from your city or county Department of Social Services. Call or visit them and explain your situation.

     Hi Lyris. You may be eligible to receive social services from the state in which you live. These services include for example, free meals, housekeeping help, and transportation assistance. To get information about services in your area, please contact your state or local social services or welfare office. You should also contact your local Medicare SHIP (State Health Insurance Program Coordinator) to discuss your health insurance options. We hope this helps.
